It’s really coming along now.
Stefano is the man!! He outdid himself on that sticker. 👍🏻
I do fancy that spider logo in the same font as the challenge. I think going with that is best. 👍🏻
Scott, what an incredible job with the project as a whole then subsequently each piece and step thought out. The wiring loom actually doesn't look as bad as some of the early 1980s Ferrari. Congrats on nearing the finish!
When that engine came to life was amazing, incredible sound. Finding Stefano was huge too, hope this episode brings him lots of work. This project is getting more and more exciting, look forward to future episodes.
Thanks Tony
I wasn't much into this at the beginning BUT I must say that your attention to details and passion changes my mind: great job Scott!!!
Beautiful progress!! I also had an issue with sticky buttons on dash parts on my 03 Porsche. I was able to remove the soft touch paint with brake fluid without damaging the plastic underneath. Then, I just used adhesion promoter and a good quality satin black paint (duplicolor trim paint) which happens to match perfectly with the black leather in my car. Brake fluid is actually caustic enough to attack the soft-touch paint but not so much that it will damage the ABS plastic commonly used on interior car parts. Seems like, the cheaper the brake fluid, the better it worked, lol. There may be other methods but this works great for me. Just a tip for anybody trying to fix this issue. Cheers from the Caribbean
Have to admit it, the ratarossa man channel is growing on me.
Ha ha thanks buddy
What a project. This is just amazing. Cant wait to see this finished
Congrats, Scott! The build is really taking shape!
Amazing project! Jesus, why doesn't this channel have 500k+ subs!?!?
Looking great!
Such an awesome job! Can’t wait to see it finished!
So nice, and rare, to see that kind of pride in fine craftsmanship!
I love how this is coming along!
Thanks Kris
Great video. Attention to detail is appreciated!!
It's looking good. Lots of dosh and time spent to make it look like a Challenge Stradale. I like it, but at the end of the day, it's still a 360 Modena Spider. But it looks like you're having fun transforming it, and that's the main thing.
This is such a massively impressive build. Absolute quality workmanship 👌👌
Loving this series, great project and an awesome job, keep up the great content 👍
You, sir, are a master of your craft. I was hesitant when you started this project, but I'm all in now, and I can't wait to see the final result!
More great stuff, you make it look a lot easier than it actually must be!
super cool - love the attention to detail
Amazing dedication to the detail and work on the project! Respect Scott! You will have one of a kind car sooooon!
Too bad it's not his but a (rich) client's toy.
thanks buddy
@@marcryvon indeed, how do you give that away after all this time? ;)
Awesome video Scott! I’m definitely going to order one of those paint code stickers after seeing how perfect that one came out!
Fantastic build and your attention to detail is staggering, well done.
Cheers
I love little details, well done!
Killing it again mate! Thanks
great work Stefano!!
thank you! :)
Mine was the 888th tumbs up! :-)
Thanks for the awesome videos!!
cheers
Great build!
Fantastic job, amazing build. Entusiasm, competence, great contents: one of my favourite channel on youtube, ever.
Greetings from Italy!
thanks buddy
Awesome project! Keep it up mate
Im ready to see you back on the white car project. but keep up the good work
Great work bud the interior is going to look spot on!
Did you see the comment below about the sticker though bud, shame the PSI is incorrect to the bar readings! :(
Thanks buddy, Yes I have we have sorted it and got the error reprinted. Luckily I can stick that on anytime
Yesss… another Ratarossa vid… red wine opened… sat in my comfy space!! 🍷🍷🍷🍷
nice buddy, enjoy
Awsome work. Maybee do a practical overview of the wiring changes? You videos on the harness were very detailed but it was difficult to understand what the overall goal was for some of the switch locations. The badge, just do the same as the scud spider?
Absolutely addicted to this build
cheers buddy
I remember the comment I made at the beginning of the project: the result ? Two wrecked cars, a challenge and a spider.
Boy, what was I wrong ?!? The eye for detail shown episode after episode, shows us what a nice piece of car you are creating. No, it’ll never be an original Ferrari, but it surely is something that could match and exceed the original one. Do compare it to a Brabus … nobody states: it’s a pitty that a Benz was sacrified for this Brabus. My point: you have proven that the endresult is better than the perfection at the beginning. Respect !!
Thanks Eric for those kind words.
Very nice 👌
timestamp 3:20 2.2 bar (29psi) 2.0 bar (32psi) shouldn't it be 2.2bar 32psi and 2.0 bar 29psi??
I second that.
Well done, good spot
probably there was too much "PRESSURE" working on this project car ahhaha - it will be fixed and reprinted :)
I spotted that too 😀
@@grafica-corby He must be getting "tired"........
Like always another enjoyable video, also would love to see more on the awsome 512BBi , if you could let us know when more content will be shown.
Thanks. More coming very soon on the bbi
Hi Scott, going thorugh the series now, and what a Mega job you did. Do you happen to have the instructions on how to do wire the Start button?
very good
Cool! My "Challenge Spyder" badge idea got a mention at the end! Thank you! 😃😃
Thank you sir for the cool image
@@Ratarossa It needs to be a bit more accurate to be really happy with it (I worked from a very small photo to create the model), but if the owner wants to go that way I can send you a CAD .STEP file for CNC machining.
the psi is the wrong way round on the sticker but great deta and touches, I know it would annoy you if you didn't notice and put it on the car
well spotted, we are sorting that right now
the psi next to the bar is backwards. 2.0 bar is 29 psi and 2.2 is 32 psi... not the way it's listed on that sticker
AHHHHHHHHHHHH well spotted there my man !!! I'll get this sorted and reprinted
It’s looking good you’ve done a very good job but there’s one thing I would have done is made it into right-hand drive that would’ve been the icing on the cake as they say
i had a 04 volvo s40 that the key barrell stopped being able to turn to position 3, easist fix i fitted a momentary button to the dash board near the key. wired it straight into the terminals for position 3 on the key barrel. instant start button
Cannot wait for the video where we get to hear it fully opened up🙌
its going to be epic
Did anyone else notice?
at 3 minutes 20 seconds
the tire pressure Front 2.2 bar ( 29 psi )
And the rear is 2.0 bar ( 32 psi )
Shouldn't the higher psi number be with the higher bar number ?
ie Front 2.2 bar ( 32 psi )
Rear 2.0 bar ( 29psi )
I hope this can be picked up before its printed!
Unfortunately it seems to be wrong in the final print.
It’s all about details! Greetings from an OCD friend in Sweden 😁
thanks buddy
Great build Scott, nearly finished now. Are you going to advise the costs involved at all once completed ?
Beautiful
Thank you! Cheers!
so many details... how you keep remembering all that things that needs to be done with your own car and some other projects ?
Devils in the details no doubt..
My guess with the tyre pressure sticker is it goes on the left side either RHD or LHD.
PSI ----> yes, we noticed it and it has been already fixed, we're already working on an improved version, with some other text mods. As I've replied before (for fun) to a guy who had spotted the mistake , we were problably too under "pressure" while working on it :) jokes a part, clearly disappointed to present my company in this way (as it was something common!) but perfect one is already on its way - I take the chance to tell you I'm glad to see it's full of precise people out there: we LOVE working for people who care details. Work for the other kind of people give no satisfaction at all : you could provide them chocolate or s.... and they could find no difference :)
As someone who's created a lot of vector artwork based on modernised, customised, and English version reproductions of OEM Japanese decals, I know all too well how easy it is to miss the odd detail, especially when recreating fonts. It doesn't seem to matter how many times you look at something, until alternative pairs of eyes get to look it over, you can be sure something will slip by!
@@MrMairu555 thanks God is something more than rare but.. yes, you're right: mainly because all the job has been made soo zoomed that, at that close up, you simply draw shapes, and no more "letters" - and probably even because it was not only the reproduction of an existing label but a mix among one and another. Anyway nothing so bad or irreversible:) thanx for your support
@@grafica-corby Yes, I think that's exactly it! You're looking at "shapes", rather than text, and concentrating so hard to get the geometry correct, that it's easy to overlook a spelling mistake or incorrect number. Even when you stare at the finished product for 5 minutes, you just can't see an error, and it's not until "fresh eyes" look on the work, that a problem is spotted. I always try to get someone independent to double (and even triple) check before I release my images, and even then, sometimes things slip though.
@@MrMairu555 almost 20years ago, when I was about 20yo I worked in a big tipography as a graphic. Advertising I used to create were printed in 40/50 K units. Clearly in that case I had to be more than sure it was all perfect. Image what.. if a client who paid some thousands euros for his advertising, discovering a mistake.. who would have paid for it? In the stickers world, bad to admit, there's not a big time to check, since it's a 7days on 7days production, form 7am to 11pm... another world :) But let me sleep at night LOL
@@grafica-corby Hi Stefano. I've just sent you an e-mail via your website about some decals via your contact form. I look forwards to hearing from you.
Hi Scott! Love youre vids for years.
You are doing a nice job with the tire sticker, but theres someting strange i noticed. It is saying 2.2 bar = 29psi And 2.0 bar = 32psi.
It has to be the other way around!
Was going to say the same thing
Would have been nice to keep the italian text on the custom sticker... but wow, great job! *** I STAND CORRECTED *** wrote my comment 30 seconds before you said you asked to add it LOOL
What's going on with the BBi??? Dying here!
Like a big puzzle but slowly coming together, btw are you coming with the Stradale Spider to Brooklands at the end of this month?
Are the new Buttons from the same material and will get sticky in 10/20 years?
Yeah yeah yeah Challenge Saddle thingy big whoop. Where’s the 512 BBi?
Starting to plan my attack on the Bbi right now
Great job. How did you wire up the start button in your original CS conversion for your car? Wouldn’t it have been the same?
yes its the same
Blinding!
isn't 2.2 bar equivalent to 32 psi and 2.0 bar to 29 psi?
One idea that would be interesting is to see if you could have a replacement plastic part 3d printed using one of the very strong but pliable material options that are available now.
As 3D technology advances its going to be exciting to see the possibilities
The car is looking damn good!
I hate to break to to you, but there is an error on the tyre sticker.... ☹️
2 bar is 29psi. 2.2 bar is 32 psi. On the stickers, the numbers are switched..... 😭
On the new sticker Stefano showed, how is 29psi 2.2 bar for the front but 32psi is only 2.0 bar on the rear?
On the new door opening sticker, the psi numbers are the wrong way round .
we have a new version coming
Not sure if you have noticed but the 29PSI and 32PSI are the wrong way round.
SERIOUS QUESTION : are you afraid of Ferrari sending cease and desist letter? They did that once to that legendary roofless f40 LM. Here, you're trying to modify the emblem too, plus making your own sticker using their logos.
Is the rep of Ireland covered in the countries that car vertical check?
Great build Scott. Just wondering if there’s any legal issues copying stickers like that?
No.
Great work Scott! Really enjoyed watching this build. One comment though, should the door jam sticker for the spider not say 'Rosso Scuderia', still says 'Rosso Corsa' for the colour?
Ahhhh thats a good one Gareth. A little confusing but that is actually the model of the Pirelli P Zero Tyre 'Rosso Corsa"
@@RatarossaAh, sorry! Didn't realise that!
I did got notified, but i have the bell ringed already.
top man
@@Ratarossa Love your work man, currently programing instagram/facebook posts for my company and hearing/watching this video.
Rosso Corsa on tyre sticker. Shouldn’t it be Rosso scuderia??
I'm sure it's been mentioned Scott but I'm too lazy to read all the comments. Tyre PSI the wrong way around on the sticker being made by the cool Italian dude.
I notice he never actually said what was wrong with the button. So I'm guessing he just hadn't turned the car key one yet LOL.
Shouldn't the sticker with tyre pressure read: Rossa Scuderia in stead of Rossa Corsa?
When you get a brand new item with that has this velvet-like rubbery coating, it feels so nice but they degrade soooo quickly. I have several PC mouse that has that coating and it makes you want to throw out a perfectly functional hardware because that sticky feeling is so gross. I used denatured alcohol to remove it, the surface is no longer that nice, it can turn into a shiny plastic or even dull discolored plastic but it's better to the touch.
Final stretch? Does this mean you are going back to the BBi build?
yes thats the cheap way to restore these buttons, unfortunately it doesn't work with most of them as they have the logo
@@Ratarossa Restoring is a bit of a stretch, when it's all sticky my aim is just to remove the stickyness. At that point I no longer care if it looks good, I just want to get rid of that horrible feel :S
What happened to the bbi?
Scott how can you sleep at night knowing that all sticky plastics are treated....except the new button housing just purchased at Ferrari that will eventually become sticky... :D
LOL. At £14 I can still manage to sleep ....just !!
Hello Scott.. when the next video coming
Good timing Scott 👏 thanks will watch
Additional: so the red button STARTS the car. Will it also shut down the engine? Or is that still done from the key (I've driven 360 Spider and 430, but can't remember! :D )
done via the key on the CS
BB next, please!
its coming
Do u have any of the stickers on the car that u took parts off of.
I have the stickers but they are slightly different
Can u order it from the factory or find 1 at a junk yard or have 1 made on your computer
There will be an original paint sticker somewhere for sure
have you nicked a lime rental scooter??!!
I like the Stradale Spyder bade. I like your blue shaded glasses better. Why do you have a Lime scooter? 😆
Cheers !! Long story on the Scooter ... It came from another RUclipsr LOL
Pretty sure that’s a lambo dude..
Use ‘desolvit’ for sticky buttons. 3 pound product.
Old ThinkPad sticky stuff.
Unfortunately the PSI figures on the label are the wrong way around!
Now is this your car or are you doing for someone else
No disrespect and a genuine question for Scott and you guys that have more understanding of it than i do but what's this car build about? I haven't followed all the vlogs so not sure what the end game is for it?
For it to exist
I hope he did the stickers correctly cos he had the psi next to the wrong bar, 29psi isn’t 2.2 bar and 32 psi isn’t 2.0 bar
its rectified now
Lol at sticky buttons; the same material as in a Golf 4.
ity was used in MASSES of cars for many years not just Ferrari
If I had that car in my garage, I'd sleep in it!
LOL .... ill put a bed in place of the passenger seat
Did you notice that your new door panel sticker has the tyre pressures reversed? 2.0 BAR is less than 2.2 BAR. So 2.0 BAR = 29 PSi and 2.2 BAR = 32 PSi. Yours is reversed - so not only does show its fake, but you will risk inflating the tyres wrong. Not recommended on any supercar!
I don't mean to alarm you Scott, but you appear to have a ghost in your garden.
