Pretty sweet trailer!! The only thing I will say with that tarp is find a way to strap that thing down when it gets windy. Drove dump trucks with those style tarps and that bar would just go berserk in cross winds.

It’s great advice to get the accessories up front that are hard or expensive to retrofit after the fact, but let’s be real. This is a $30,000 trailer.
Buy the best you can afford at the time, and take care of your equipment. My grandfather always said the job isn’t done until the tools are clean
I worked at Diamond C in the mid 90's as the Fabrication Shop Foreman. Structurally, these trailers are the best on the market. I have a 16' flatbed that I bought back then and still use today. Plus, if you have some sort of custom thing you want to do with your trailer, they will hook you up. Just the best! Good choice homie.
I’m actually looking at selling my 2021 pj gooseneck dump trailer to get this exact same trailer haha rather have a bumper pull dump over my gooseneck. Love that you got it so I can see an in depth video of it before I scoop one up, it’ll also look better behind both my trucks as they’re both charcoal grey 🤘🏻🤘🏻

Hey Ryno you should get your trailer bedlined, a landscaping company I used to work for only used Big Tex dump trailers and the first thing they would do is get them bedlined and it would last a good 4-5 years of abuse.
They get their trailer bed lined because Big Tex is know for the shitty paint job that rusts nearly before pulling it off the sales lot.

That new trailer is nice. You did a good job spec'ing it out. Diamond C's are the Cadillac of trailers. Salesman is defiantly a salesman though. The whole latch system for the rear gates is not innovative by diamond C. I was actually pretty surprised your old one still had the chain style. There are plenty of other dump trailer manufactures that already had a latch style system for their rear gates. So kind of odd for him to say now all the other manufacturers will probably steal the idea.

Ur new dump trailor is very nice, the only thing ur goin to hate about that dump trailor is the oil bath bearings. I have ended up converting them over to greese bearing cause of oil seals always blowing out and ruining the brakes and bearings.

Million dollar question is are all the tie downs painted on both sides? Unlike your old one had that one tie down someone forgot to flip it when they were painting.
the only thing i dont like is that latch to hold the door. the doors would always let loose when pulling up when dumping. lets say you are at uneven floor with rocks or debris in the way when pulling up. i actually ended up damaging the door. when it slammed to the ground it bent it. i 100% prefer the chain or the T ring style. everything else i agree with lol

The only thing you missed was a wireless remote for the landing gear and dump bed. I have that on my latest trailer and it is sooooo nice! Seems trivial but we use it constantly.

If you do use the jacks, don’t set them on the ground leave about an inch and a half because when you load something heavy, the trailer will come down and you won’t be able to take out the jacks. I’m on my fifth dump trailer in eight years, throw them away every three years get a new one.

Dang so jealous you got your trailer first. I'm waiting for mine to be finished being built. I believe it should be before the end of this month and then delivered to my local dealer which is 4 and 1/2 hours away. But I got the MDT 12 ft long and industrial orange with the 33-in sides and the upper wood boards 10 gauge body along with all the other features you got💪🏽💪🏽 wish they would offer the hydraulic jack on that model, but oh well

I hae been pricing dump trailers lately, definitely a great trailer but 8 weeks to delivery has me reconsidering.
A hook welded on door with D ring on trailer is the best way to hook doors. Spreader gate is never used, i've had dump trailers for 20 years and never use it. I actually welded the gate shut to add strength to the doors. Concrete chunks constantly hit that top of frame, which will tear off door latch.
Real question is how good does it look behind the denali

I have a 2019 port city and love it. Dumped 15k no issues. And price point I paid 7k brand new for it. Works great for me. And 4ft sides. And mine has 4ft walls.

@DMAXRYNO depends🤭🤭 I'm not about the money... I can put down the 20 if necessary.. I'm about the quality and their payload capacity. I have a 3500 ram laramie non dually 2022. I want to be able to tow the most staying under cdl (for now anyway) so max GCVW has to be 26001 for NJ. Can be 5th wheel or gooseneck (idk if there is a goosenk for a cargo enclosed trailer for contractors)🤣. I can change the SRW truck for a dually if necessary 🤷♂️ I just don't want to struggle later down the road with towing and I certainly don't want to keep going back to my house to get tool boxes.

Just wait till those hubs loose oil. Theres a reason many of us, including hotshot guys pack the bearing with grease no matter. Some do add oil in afterwards, but majority of us just repack with grease and call it a day. I did my 40ft gooseneck that way and haven't had any issues anymore.
