    Can we give this new generation of Impact wrestlers their props? They’ve literally been holding it down for a solid two years now and in those two years have put on classic matches that has put Impact back in the game.

    • @mr.sinister2029
      @mr.sinister2029 4 года назад +5

      Lmfao. Back in the game? Not even close. Performing for dead crowds and having to litterely by a channel (a shitty one at that) to get back on t.v. isn't getting back into anything.

    • @DDS029
      @DDS029 4 года назад +1

      @@mr.sinister2029 Not the first time it was done. Most all wrestling for TV was done in the TV studios in front of less than 100 people who got in for free. In the early 70's, is when Ed Farhat (The Original Sheik) experimented with showing a week or so, tape delayed arena shows, from Cobo Arena in Detroit and found out his arena shows attendance went up, instead of down with people waiting a week and seeing it for free. Many times, you could see me and my buddy in the crowd when it was shown on TV. Vinnie would kill for what the attendance was in Cobo years ago. Only pay-per-views today would draw better than a typical arena show from back then.
      So, for us who have been watching for a while . . . it's just come full circle. Greed from VKMac is what is killing the whole business. Tell me where it makes good business sense to fire 40% of the employees, most on the performer's side that were hardly ever used, to make sure you make a record profit, after you used $18.5 million to buy the companies way into being allowed to open up shop. The day after the Gov. of Florida allowed the WWE back in business there, Florida Rep. Party got the 18.5 from a Super-PAC run by Linda Mac. Then all of a sudden the WWE can run MITB in Conn. and who through a couple of investment groups in order to try and hide his likely involvement in the money making part of this side of the scheme? Why, the slumlord at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, Washington, D.C. Who else? Not that the last part has anything to do with your comment, but it makes for interesting plot twists.

    • @DDS029
      @DDS029 4 года назад +2

      The biggest problem was repeating what WCW did. A Dolly Parton contract system, everything on top. Over paying for 'the names' they brought with them, killing the budgets, wrestlers not feeling secure, contracts coming due at the same time, and Sideshow Vinnie, throwing high dollar contracts at them just to bury most of them, so Impact! couldn't have them. AEW isn't doing much better burying Allie and Awesome Kong.

      Wrong. Completely wrong. 2010-2012 WWE still had top matches going on. TNA was pretty awesome as well. But for people to say TNA still has the best product on tv? They can't even stay on one channel, they can't sell out to more than fucking 1,000 people at most. They're a god damn joke and I find it funny how any wrestling fan can sit there be confident when saying they still have the best anything. Talent, nope. Product, nope. Fans, Nope. They started going down hill when AJ knew his worth and finally had enough of Dixie and the company. Magnus as world champ? British wrestlers are probably some of the most boring in ring talent anyone has ever laid eyes on. So why put the strap on him? Cause they had no clue where to go every Aces and eights flamed out, Aj left and they were left with a hand full of top guys. The sooner wrestling fans realize that TNA/ Impact will never be the same again, the better. They aren't going to be turning it around ever again unless they can revert back to what made them great in the first place and I don't see Sting, Aj, or Roode climbing on their white horse anytime soon to come save the day.

    WWE had almost everyone of these wrestlers at one time recently. You see what happens when Sideshow Vinnie rewrites a whole show ten minutes before air time, and doesn't let the people actually performing have some creative control. This is what WWE fans, except the marks who confuse bigger, with better, could've had it if WWE hadn't signed them be buried for most of them, just to keep them out of the hands of Impact! Cinematic matches? Ooh, WWE had one almost four years after Impact! It may not have been the writer's idea, but the company let them go with it. Women's Revolution my butt. About five years late on that one too.
    Keep it up Impact! You're giving the indie performers a national stage to show what they're made of when given a chance, And scheduling TV filming so they can be allowed to make their own deals on their time off from Impact! Very admirable. I get it. They make more, they use their names they use in Impact!, good advertisement for you guys, And I'm assuming they take with them their Impact! branded merch, so you both make money and helps draw people to these side gigs because of their association with a national brand.
    I hope they are reporting back to you guys some of the talent they see. I tend to watch the women wrestle, because nothing surprises me with the men anymore. There are some good lady wrestlers out there I've seen in EVE, and GWF on RUclips.

    I'm finding it really hard to argue against this list. My only qualm is that Callihan vs Pentagon should be a bit higher. That match was absolutely stunning. I also feel like either EC3 vs Spud or EC3 vs Kurt Angle should have been on here as well.

    I think the reason Beer Money vs MCMG was such an ironic match is because of how opposite they are. Beer money was all ring presence and charisma, but little technical skill. MCMG was high in skill and fluidity, but were very boring to see outside of a match

    I know IMPACT has definitely had it's share of dark times last decade, but I love seeing the arena and crowd sizes change through the countdown. Feels like I'm watching something change, through its decline as well as its growth. It's just cool, I dunno.
    Also, major respect for including Austin Aries' world title victory and for treating his time in this company with respect despite how he left.
