    I love the way you play the piano. Without exaggeration and showing no facial or bodily jerky movements. So relaxed the and presenting.

    The sound Petrof is very, very clean and warm. My favorite sound.

    I have had the opportunity to play several Petrof grands in various sizes, but never a concert grand. All of them have a pure European tone and a gloriously long sustain which make them a joy to play. Robert, this is a beautiful instrument!

    When I was a boy I played piano and all pianos I ever played were PETROFs. My piano teachers instrument, piano in elementary school, piano my neighbor owned, pianos of my friends... lot of beautiful Petrofs.
    Btw. I am living in Hradec Králové, city where Petrof factory is
    Btw 2: never talk about Czech things like: "German quality" etc. Czech people are too proud for things they make

    Magnificent ! Robert knows pianos, no doubt about it. If I lived near his shop I would (A) buy a piano from him and (B) beg him to be my teacher. I've played for most of my life, but I'm willing to bet I would play better with his teaching. Even his video lessons are far superior to most of what is on the Tube, and they help me greatly. Thanks, Piano Man !

      You’d think that the people with talent for piano playing aren’t necessarily the ones with the salary to own a large home and high-quality piano. How does this even work?

    • @ronb6182
      @ronb6182 4 года назад

      If I had the money I would make a place for an outstanding piano a 20 x 20 room would work . I would have a detached room from the rest of the house then I could play without having to damping the sound.

    There are a few things I noticed. Is the Capo D'Astro bar moveable? The look of it reminds me of Bosendorfer's Capo D'Astro bars in their grands. Second, like Bosendorfer and Schimmel, there is no bar going across the alto, tenor and bass strings. On a Steinway or Yamaha, there is one. I also notice that the hole openings in the plate are irregular shapes as opposed to circular holes on say, Steinway. So, my guess is as long as there are holes, the shape of them doesn't matter? It's to let in more sound through the sound board is my guess. Another thing I've always wondered about grands, and this seems to be the case in most of them, is the felt that's on the back of the strings that's in the bass, tenor and alto, but not the treble strings. What's the reason for that?
    As far as the Petrov goes, I hope it finds a nice concert stage somewhere. It's fairly young and it would be nice if it is heard in public.

    I guess in this category and price range it’s not enough to just be generally good in sales, but to understand and earn trust of your customers you must be also quite a talented pianist

    This guy's opening patter was a bit too much like a used car salesman for me; but I'm pretty impressed by the sound of this piano. Solid, focused bass, even! No weird harmonics down there.
