Bought this planer last week to replace a cheap one where the blades nuts would not tighten and shattered on coming loose just avoided being blinded. Decided after reading reviews to buy the Makita KP0801k and what a dream. Effortless accurate and a pleasure to use. The shavings bag collects everything so no sweeping up afterwards. Worth every penny in my opinion and I am only a DIY person.

In the USA they only sell this planer without a case and dust bag. I don't know why but I wish they did.

Thanks Scooby! The only decent video I can find of this! Amazon have it on for £120 and I couldn't resist. Not sure if it's a mistake but they've gone corded Makita crazy. The decent jigsaw on for £90 too. Ordered both.

Too bad the North American version of this planer doesn't come with a carrying case and dust bag. Huge disappointment.
I agree, you can still buy the empty box’s from eBay but really they should supply the tool with the box & dust bag. Thanks for watching appreciate it.
