TIPS TO HAVE LUSCIOUS LOCKS OF AMAZINGNESS!
1. Reduce the temperature of your water -- super hot water is terrible for your hair as well as your entire body.
2. Don't use too much shampoo -- about a quarter size amount is all you need (unless you have super long hair).
3 Work your scalp when shampooing -- don't be aggressive but you do need to work the scalp because it's where build-up forms. Invest in a shampoo brush that has soft bristles that gently massages your scalp (stimulates blood flow for a healthier scalp and hair).
4. Don't overly shampoo your hair -- skip using shampoo for every other shower to leave some natural oils. What is the best shampoo? Normal hair needs a high quality shampoo with tea tree oil (it makes your scalp healthy). If you have dry hair, use a hydrating shampoo with argan oil to smooth the hair shaft. If you have dandruff, use a shampoo with coal tar as an ingredient.
5. Everyone needs to use a conditioner -- leave it on for 5-minutes before rinsing.
6. Towel dry correctly -- pat and move rather than destroying your hair.
7. If you use a hair dryer: turn down the heat, don't hold too close to your hair / scalp, use a heat protectant spray before drying.
8. If you want volume, use a sea salt spray pre-styler. Alpha uses SALT + Putty for volume and texture without being crunchy or hard.
9. Upgrade to higher quality hair products -- cheap products equate to bad ingredients that damage your hair. Quality products are a bit more expensive, but your hair will look and feel better. Plus, the quality products will perform better.
10. Do not wear a hat! -- if it's too tight, less blood flood happens. Less blood flow means less oxygen and nutrients to your scalp and hair. Make sure to let your head and hair breathe.

I work in the Haircare industry and have a few things to add.
Always double wash your hair. The first wash is going to remove the surface layer of product and oils, while the second wash is going to provide a deep cleanse. Also- use products that are sulphate (sls) and paraben free. Look out for SLS- that’s a harsh stripping shampoo. It’s essential that same as your dishwashing liquid.
If you’re wanting to add volume to the hair, look for a product that has Rice Protein in it- Rice Protein plumps the hair by up to 32%. Couple this with a round brush when drying, and your hair will look great!
You don't think other sulphates like sodium/ammonium laureth sulphate and ammonium lauryl sulphate are to be avoided as well?

Amazing advice. Since I started shampooing every other time it was a game changer. Before I thought that I must shampoo whenever I took a shower. Now sometimes I even do more than every other time. I count days for how long the hairstyle can remain fixed in style. The counting makes it a little fun and adds value to the overall shower routines. I have noticed through lots of trial and error that if not for having to sleep, the hairstyle would perfectly last twice or much longer before having to shampoo style again :) Sleep impacts hairstyle like nothing else :)

You mentioned scalp scrubbers (shampoo brushes) Wich are amazing (made my hair 10x softer along with some other things), but you forgot to mention scalp scrubs (you can make your homemade scalp scrub with salt and coconut oil and a drop or two of tea tree oil!
