Hi Sue. Castelnaudray is beautiful place and I'm sure you'll enjoy it. There's an Emmaus there, which should you decide to stay in that area will be a great resource for pre loved furniture and various other bits. All the best and good luck. 👍🏼
Wow! That's a big surprise Sue! Good for you. That is a weight off your shoulders. But do tell! How did it come about? What made you change your mind about scouring around for a city to live and decide on this particular one? We are following your journey closely and are curious about the details that led you to this decision.
It came down to wondering if I'd have a tough time securing a place for the summer months since I was targeting moving end of May. I was worried that after arriving back home mid-February, I'd have to race to make a decision and since I am going to so many places, it felt like a challenge. Castelnaudary is in the general/primary area I think I want to settle in/near for long-term, and so it seemed an easy "first landing" spot. This will allow me to weigh all the information from the trip more slowly and carefully, and to have a base from which to make additional short trips over the summer to places that make the eventual final short list. I gave myself room to breathe.
@@SueIsRetiringToFrance Yes of course. It makes perfect sense. Now you can check this one off your long "To Do" list. How did you find this place? Was it through AirBnB or another website? I keep hearing that it is super difficult to rent a place in France through the traditional ways with a lease agreement. Reason I ask is because we are moving to France in September 2025 and are acquiring information from RUclipsrs like yourself.
