    Add on for some context: before this play, Johnson's TD catch was ruled incomplete, which I guess is kind of why his mind was not into it. However, what makes this awful is that this play happened during the 1st quarter of the game. Yeah, nobody's truly gassed just yet, but Johnson chose to do this after his potential TD was ruled incomplete. The right mindset to a TD ruled incomplete is to actually grind yourself to actually get that 6 points the next chance you got, not sulk and tune out. Kind of proves that Johnson only cares about padding his stats and chasing a big payday later (although him putting zero effort will make teams hesitate to sign him, lest he pulls this stunt again).

    I’m so sick of the receivers in Pittsburgh. I’ve been a fan for quite awhile, but post Hines ward. The receiving core has been nothing but egos. It could be a younger generation thing, but if you make it to the NFL. You are now a professional and your job is not guaranteed. Start playing like you want to play and contribute to the bigger goal. Fantasy football era ruined sports and players. Everything is dictated off stats. When players aren’t getting their desired stats each game. They just throw tantrums and quit playing. When they drop a ball in the end zone. They completely give up on the next play. If you’re frustrated. Take out your frustration on that block. Shove that dude over. Pick up at that fumble and make a play. Who knows. You could have picked it up and ran it into the end zone. Not only would you have your touchdown you missed previously, but you would have saved that drive and potentially saved the other team from getting a defensive score. Start thinking like a team player instead of an individual player.

    The corner he should have been blocking was the one who got the fumble. Let's say for argument's sake, he didn't see the ball, but after everyone starts running, he never chases it down. Tomlin needs to nip this type of bad behavior in the butt now. Diontae needs to be called out in the team meeting for his effort, and not allowed to start the game on the first few plays against the Cardinals, so he understands he is not a team of one. My guess is, he was salty from not getting the TD call which happened before that play.

    It's called heads up ball, play to the whistle, "no benefit of the doubt". I CAN"T WAIT UNTIL HE IS NO LONGER A STEELER. God,( ugh sigh) are the days done of 86 Ward and 83 Miller........

    An adequate coach would cut him immediately. A garbage coach will coddle him.

    If Mike Tomlin benched Okorafore for just speaking his mind. Then Johnson should absolutely be benched for not giving a shit. His total lack of interest is appalling. He absolutely knew what was going on around him. He was mad about the play before with the touchdown that didn't happen. And this dude gets paid 8 million for this. Not cool!!

    Drop him to WR2 or even 3. No contract coming for him. It takes a whole team to sell a play. Next time when it's play action and he runs it's a tell. Opposing defensive coaches and players catch on to these tells. I would bench him next week personally. No excuse for "play" like this.

    I would have gotten rid of his ass two years ago. For real. You don't keep someone like him on the team. Top WR come out every year, and they are hungry. He obviously doesn't remember what happened to AB and the host of other WRs who played for the Steelers.

    Between his running backwards to dropping balls to lack of effort, Johnson needs major reform if the Steelers are to keep him. Players like this ruin a football team’s culture.

    Another Antonio Brown without the same talent ! Tomlin needs to send a message and sit him for at least a quarter or a half .

    He wants paid as a # 1 WR when he is anything but. Chase, Kupp, Diggs, they don’t drop passes. Bad contract, let him go add thru draft and let Pickens be our #1.

    Unless dude has a concussion and it truly does look like he's completely out of the whole play from beginning to end so I believe it's a concussion but if it's not he would not be on my team Monday morning

    • @robnicefrom3p
      @robnicefrom3p 6 месяцев назад

      Actually the more I look at it I'm pretty convinced it's a concussion because he is so unaware of what's going on he is walking either back to the huddle or the opposite / wrong sideline walking being the key as people are running all around

    Too many divas for the steelers at WR in recent years... Brown, Juju, Claypool, Johnson and Pickens might be the same problem if he won't get the targets he likes to have 🙄
