NO way. It's not hard to catch a 64 easily. It's the most easy wedge to hit. I have a 56 and the bounce on it means I blade it lots so I use a 64 now. SO much easier.
That's "stopping it quick" for you? What, are those greens a 16 on the stimp? My wedges have little bite left in them and I can get a pinnacle to stop faster...

I had a 64 and had it bent to 21 deg. I hit it 220
I bent mine to 95 now I can almost do the backward shot.
The 64 degree is a dangerous club for most nonprofessionals. If you miss hit it you'll end up in the rough on the other side of the green.
