I watched you play the first game and bought it the next day. I loved the game and its DLC short stories - fortunately my memory is poor so I had few spoilers. When I realised you guys were playing acsequel I decided to buy and play it before watching this. So much fun. You are by far my best source of "oh hey I might enjoy that."
I had exactly the same experience with these games. Bought the first game after watching a bit of the first playthrough so I could play it myself, then later came back to finish the rest of the Mostly Walking playthrough. This time around I bought the second game after just seeing the thumbnail. Then beat it before coming back to watch.
Wait, when day9 describes the first game at the start and talks about some random dude resolving the plot: is he referring to peter battley? If so, i disagree, i think he was pretty cruicial.
I had to play it through twice before realising his significance. The first time through I was focused on the murder and drama, but once it hit me that the rich idiot from the start actually gets everything he wanted (and some extra years on his life too) in the end, it's really quite amusing.
So I've watched a couple play throughs of this now in addition to playing it and each time it's surprised me how stumped people have gotten by that Steelside Warehouse answer. Everyone goes looking for some deeper meaning or answer when for me it was simply that he went to a place so naturally someone from that place was who contacted her. Other than that though the Sean's killed it, I really loved their first Golden Idol play through and I'm just saddened that they are gonna have a month+ break between now and when they next play it (though totally fair to take that time off).
I recall having the same trouble originally in the demo, but when the game came out I had no issue, now seeing it again, I get how. With just being text the way it's phrased can easily be taken as "they went to A, but then someone from B contacted them", i.e. it's supposed to emphasize that it's not the same. But if you read it with the focus being "connected", instead of the the focus being the place itself, it seems obvious that it's the same place.
It's been an incredibly long time. I used to watch you back in the days when you were on Justin TV. I was one part of your funday Mondays time to time. I am very glad to see you are still around. I remember playing against you a few times. You were and still are one of the nicest people to stream.
Sean Bouchard - his beard says "post apocalyptic man of the woods" but his hair says "18th century upper class child".
Cougar 9 is definitely Sean's drag persona.

been saving the last 30 minutes of this video knowing that its the LAST ONE FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR :(
To be fair, in the first game, Peter Battly did say he was going to fight a tiger and win.

You never did play the DLCs for the original game did you? They are excellent too.
Delta Green is an awesome RPG for that modern technothriller paranoia mixed with old-school Lovecraft.
That sounds fun, I'll have to give that a look.
Thanks sean and sean
Hey, I’m a big fan of Mostly Walking. You guys should play Curse of Monkey Island sometime 😊
Hey me too! They actually have played curse of monkey island in the past. A while back, it should be on day9's youtube.
@@Yurinator2 cool, I couldn't find the link though. Could you post it here?
1:18:35 Master deduction caught on camera. Had to pick up my jaw from the floor. Well done!
I have a portraits of sean, sean and leigh in my living room that i bow to every morning and every evening
Sean has somehow managed to deduce the grand twist of both Golden Idol games hours before he’s meant to.
But what grand twist did he deduce in here? IDK personally
Would love to see yall get around to playing through Sam & Max Beyond Time and Space at some point

"Nowak" is indeed the Polish spelling of "Novák," which is the Czech spelling. The "w" is pronounced like a "v" in Polish.

Is this the one time Day9 doesn't want to try to brute force the puzzle?
