I was at a drone meet up and we took it out of the air with a wildlife rescue net gun. It was a demonstration showing the durability of this drone. It folded...then proceeded to keep on flying.
These new type of drones are certainly different from the traditional drones like the Mini series, and great to see new innovative ideas coming out, for me though i much prefer my DJI Mini 3 but would really like to have the bigger Mavic 3 pro.
Yes, the Mini 3 is a completely different experience and the Mavic 3 Pro is in a different league. It is interesting to see new ideas in the drone industry. Feel free to connect with me here, I have deals and resources for drone enthusiasts: linktr.ee/danstubetv
Hello Dan, this is a good but too expensive Drone. The DJI Flip will be cheaper and I think better. Also DJI customer service is better now. When the Flip arrives sales for this drone will drop I think. Maybe it will get cheaper at that moment. The quality of the Hover Air Pro Max does not justify the very high price. Just my personal opinion. Greetings from 🇳🇱
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I’m interested to see what drones are coming next and keen to see more updates for the PROMAX, stay tuned here: linktr.ee/danstubetv
Good to see come competition to DJI which is only good for the consumer and will enchance technology in this field! Good tutorial with clear perspectives and testing!
Many thanks Dan for sharing; amazing tech however the problem with this and the DJI Neo; for such small Drones they are going to actract adverse general Public attention due to the ridiculous noise of the props; the Mini 3 series completely negates this; the New DJI Flip may address.............
I see people flying the Neo everyone in public spaces, parks etc these days. No one cares about the sound anymore cause it's soo tiny, unless you are spying something without wanting to be noticed?
I’ve been playing with mine for a few days, this is absolute junk. You say the modes work fine? Like side track and front facing dolly? You know as well as I do they don’t work at all. This drone wannabe cost more than my DJI 4 Mini Pro Fly More. If you’re lucky the batteries last 10 minutes filming 4K 30 in low wind. Don’t buy this rubbish, I didn’t spend over £1000 to be a beta tester for this bunch of charlatans.
But I tell you one thing. Often a very simple GPS follow-me works a lot better than all the optical tracking. If that follow-me is programmed correctly. Very few are. But Maven, Litchi and Dronelink got it pretty much right. Not that I am against optical tracking. It's a great feature to get certain shots. But it is NOT a replacement for GPS follow-me. The problem is DJI has been crippling their products by not adding follow-me. As a result very few people know how good it can work. You can put the drone anywhere you want, high, low, close, far, next to you, in front, and it will stay in compass position the whole time. It won't lose you, and you can still use the sticks to do fly-by's etc, steer it around obstacles if needed. The shots are also more smooth, cinematic. But like I said, few drones have the right type follow-me. So now people think it has to be optical tracking only. I get excused like 'follow-me won't keep me in the middle of the frame' etc. It just ain't true. Take for example my Fimi A3. I can fly it one meter in front of me and if I move 1 mm, it moves. The controller with built-in screen and GPS makes it very accurate. One of my other drones follows the phone. Does a perfect job. Stays in compass position north south east west of me, I can use the sticks anytime, it even auto-updates homepoint!! And it's a 130 Euro drone. Unfortunately the gimbal is rubbish. But it just shows the cheapest drone can have a great follow-me feature. It's only a couple lines code in the app. So, if you are unhappy about this fancy HoverAir ProMax, then buy a used Mavic Mini or Mini 2. Not the SE version. Then buy Maven and find out yourself how GPS follow-me does what optical tracking can't. And vice versa optical tracking can do things you can't with follow-me. A good drone should have both. Just don't forget that a nice small controller is always the best way to get the shots you want. Shame there aren't any split controllers for left/right on your handlebars. Although I wonder if the modular HoverAir controller can be used this way? Or maytbe the phone with virtual sticks on one side, and controller on the other side. Or maybe that motion controller does everything while riding a bike?

Yes, I completely agree. I welcome new drones and brands into the industry. Thank you for watching 👀
I have the original one it's great
Agreed, HoverAir have created something special.

Yes, that is exactly right. The noise is a major factor to be aware of. Feel free to connect with me here: linktr.ee/danstubetv

Maybe you are not using it the right way? Did you get the controller also?
You think?
@@driewielmaybe five years flying drones was a waste of my time. Even with the beacon side tracking and front facing dolly track doesn’t work.
