    First time topper wearer. Still having a hard time with it. Do you have tips for toppers shifting back? I wear a 22inch topper. my front bio hair is half gone, so i feel like the comb in the front probably doesn't have enough to hang on? not sure. but it's really embarrassing to notice in the middle of the day that it shifted back like an inch.

    Ok on another note. I really have considered on a topper. On your opinion, for a starter piece and on a more affordable piece what would you recommend? I know everything is different on each individual. But for someone who’s never owned one what would you recommend🤔 thank you 😊

      Something light density like either of the dimples toppers seem to be the most universal for a beginner topper 🙌🏼

  • @michellebaker10work

    I learned some great tips! Thank you! Question, do you think that non-lace front toppers would be more appropriate for a sensitive head? I have bio hair that I can blend in the front, assuming I can find something to match. It just seems like lace front toppers would require the topper to fit much more snug and tight to the head, pulling down more tightly with the side clips to get the lace to lay flat. I’d love to know your thoughts 🤗🌸💫

    • @lacie.rodriguez
      @lacie.rodriguez  2 года назад +1

      Hey Michelle! Lace front toppers can be great because you don’t have to rely on clips in the front. However, they usually need to be glued or taped down because that lace is so lightweight it just won’t sit flat otherwise.

      @@lacie.rodriguez Thank you for letting me know. That helps. I’m wanting to purchase one to wear around the house, when I don’t want my wig on, so I’m striving for something that is most comfy, and trying to determine what that might be!

      There is one lace front topper with a halo wire that is a pretty cool option and doesn’t require glueing if you’re not going to be too active. It’s the Claire Upgrade Plus from Uniwigs. I have a review on it from a couple of years ago on here. Let me know if you’d like the link to the review or the piece ☺️

    • @MrsBee-uo2lc

      @@Satsusss well everyone has different needs and preferences so I would highly recommend watching reviews on all the different companies to see which one suits you best. When I first got into wearing them, I made the mistake of trying to buy the budget friendly ones and in the end I ended up wasting money on them because they weren't as nice and I wish I would have just took the dive and got the nicer ones right from the start. So two of the bigger companies that are out there that I have tried and can actually speak as far as quality goes is highline wigs and lusta hair. Everybody online seems to love the highline wigs and toppers so I had gotten one for myself thinking it would had to be great but I was so disappointed in it I actually ended up returning it. She claims it's human hair but to me I swear it has to be synthetic because of the hair quality was so awful in real life. It felt very plasticy and if you even as so much blink your eyes the whole thing knoted up instantly. And I found two other people reviewing it that actually were honest and admitted that as well. Yes I went searching to see if I was just crazy and maybe I just got a bad piece but that is the reality of it. So my highest recommendation is Lusta hair, I would start with doing a video consultation with them, it's totally free and you can just go on their website and you'll find the button to set it up with them. They are so sweet and so helpful you will literally feel like you're dealing with your best friend. In your video consultation you can ask them any question you want and they will help you figure out what will work best for you. And the hair quality is beyond amazing. She says on average they last about 3 years if you take care of it. They are on the more pricier end, but like I said earlier it's worth saving for and getting something that's going to last a really long time and be super high quality especially since you're already feeling insecure about wearing it out in front of other people. I hope that helps a little bit, if you have any other questions feel free to ask hopefully I'll see the comment and be able to respond. Oh and the last little bit of advice I have would be definitely go with the human hair not synthetic and I would definitely go for a silk top. The silk top will give you a totally natural part and I promise you NOBODY will be able to tell the difference that it's not your own scalp. And the website for the lusta hair is
      lustahair.com 😉🤍

    Have you ever used a topper grip to avoid using the front clips? If so any tips for putting it on? Do you think it would be better to remove the front comb & add clips?

    • @lacie.rodriguez
      @lacie.rodriguez  2 года назад

      I prefer to not have a clip in the front whenever I can avoid it. I much prefer a comb or to use just the side and back clips and keep the front one closed. However, I have used a topper grip in the past yes. It makes the topper sit a little higher and makes it harder to blend in my experience. Are you having issues with a comb in the front? Does it feel less secure?

    • @micheleshaw8306
      @micheleshaw8306 2 года назад

      @@lacie.rodriguez I’m new to helper hair and want to avoid any damage to my bio hair. The front of mine is were it is the thinnest and I assume the most fragile so I thought of using a grip. I have considered adding bangs or side bangs so I don’t have to blend. Plus my bio hair is wavy/curly which makes wearing hair a little more challenging.

    • @lacie.rodriguez
      @lacie.rodriguez  2 года назад

      I definitely recommend sewing in a comb in the front instead of a clip or using a topper grip. Bangs will definitely make blending easier too 👍🏼🙌🏼

    • @lacie.rodriguez
      @lacie.rodriguez  2 месяца назад

      I think you’ve named most of my tips! Is it actually shifting a lot or does it just not “feel” secure. Because most of the time, even if it isn’t staying tightly clipped it’s still not really moving. That’s how most of my toppers are and I don’t have any problems with it looking obvious or it falling off 😉
