It was actually miraculous that he was able to have a 12 year pro career as a RB with THAT style of running. And that's after a 3 year college career with basically the same style. Beast mode was different.
Well his style was shifty at first but as he put on more weight he used his strength much more to dominate his era of football , you should of watched him in Pop Warner & at Oakland Technical High school 🫡 🖖 Oakland California Legend
Every single Lynch carry was a measuring stick of your manhood if you were a defender. He epitomizes the saying Walter Payton would use “Don’t die easy!” My god Lynch was all time tough.
The most impressive thing I noticed, after his big run plays, there's no showboating and worthless posing, he hands the ref the ball and sets the next play.
Udub season ticket holder, nobody made me worry like this guy. Reggie Bush was right up there with em, but Marshawn had legend written all over him. Can't imagine how I felt when Seattle picked em up. Hardest guy i've ever seen to tackle in my life
This is a very different running style than I’m used to seeing from him, he definitely bulked up in the NFL. He’s got a side step here that he wouldn’t bother with in the NFL, he’d just run into them as hard as possible😂💪
He has more explosive speed here, but contrary to popular belief, he did a ton of subtle side steps in the NFL. It was perhaps his signature move. Defenders just couldn’t square him up. He’s side step just enough and then power through arm tackles and either slip away or drag guys for a few extra yards. Of course he always had a mean stiff arm, too!
He ran just like this throughout this career. He bulked up and lost agility later in his Seattle tenure but he was shifty with the Bills and first couple Seahawks seasons.
Yeah, his balance set him apart from 99% of the runningbacks that he competed against. He always stayed on his feet long enough to gain positive yardage, even when the defense got to him in the backfield.
At one point Jeff Tedford had Lynch and Rogers on the same team. At another point her has Lynch, Justin Forsett and Desean Jackson. At still another point her had Jackson, Forsett and Jahvid Best along with a long list of other pros who have had or are still having good NFL careers. Tedford was a great recruiter but with all that talent, he couldn’t have been the best X’s and O’s guy.
Yeah, he rarely, if ever, was pushed backwards. This is somewhat off-topic, but Trent Richardson is basically Marshawn Lynch's clone physically, but he lacks BEAST MODE's vision and acceleration. That's what made Lynch special.
Ive seen 2 running backs in the last 15 years who while still in college. I said will be in the NFL HOF some day. Lynch is the first one and you will have to check back in 2030 for the 2nd one. He has not played a down yet. Its AJ Dillon drafted last month by Green Bay.
Yeah you lost me with the AJ Dillon. I saw him play in person in college. Hes big and stronf but id never think he'd be a hall of famer. He'd definitely prove me wrong if that happened. Hes no where near on lynches level. Hes easy to stop once you get him. Hes just a straight ahead big runner. No wiggle or nothing
I'm kind of surprised that youtube has been around for over a decade and literally nobody else has had the idea to make videos of old tailbacks like I have. It's not too difficult to find the footage (for some players, others are impossible to find footage of. cough, Ladainian Tomlinson, cough)
that play at 10:05 shouldve been the opening scene of a new game show back then called "so you think you can tackle beast mode?" that goes down as a 2 yard run in the statistics but it seems like the entire defense had a chance to tackle him in the backfield there lol. some of them twice -.-
Thanks for subscribing! I definitely plan on doing a McFadden video in the future, and I've already created a Peterson one (that I'm waiting to release)
Woody Carter Thanks for watching them and subscribing. You may have to wait a while for the Darren Sproles video, since I have quite a sizable backlog of videos that still need to be released before I make any new ones.
Korede Folorunso I can't wait for one of them to blow up too. The Herschel Walker did blow up, to a small extent after an article was written about it. And thank you for watching all of my videos. I really appreciate it!
Has anyone noticed that his teammates almost NEVER help him up after he had been tackled. I watched this video and could count on one hand the number of times he was helped up. I wonder was he universally considered a jerk by his own squad, or were they all a bunch of assholes? Watch it again and tell me if I'm wrong.

Size, agility, speed, vision. All around great back . Top 10 for me

THE MIKE TYSON OF RUNNING BACKS

You know you're a great RB when you're mainly tackled from behind or on the blind side. Quality!!
i swear marshawn has some of the best balance of all time. Another great video man, best football series on youtube
Yeah, his balance set him apart from 99% of the runningbacks that he competed against. He always stayed on his feet long enough to gain positive yardage, even when the defense got to him in the backfield.
He ran so hard on every play. He just hated being tackled. Its just a mentality that a lot of people don't have.
It’s because he keeps his legs wide, spread apart when he runs. More power, like squatting weights.
Using him on ncaa was damn near cheating 🤣
Complete back with speed, power and great balance.
You might have noticed the power and stiffarms but every single play someone got shook or cut on... Lynch still got jukes
mixumup1 the guy he stiff armed the second play number 25 is my pe teacher and varsity football coach 😂
10:00 Watching a Marshawn Lynch 2-yard run is the most entertaining form of football.

He's not a dumb guy, but i think he likes reading about as much as he likes snow. Probably the only book he's ever read.
Scott Humphreys the cat in the hat is an old player saying, just him being cool and very Oakland.
best HB of this era
Adrian Peterson easily
BEAST MODE!!!! Belongs in the Seahawks hall-a-fame
Bills had him first.
@@ObiWanGinobiliTopFan But he's considered a seahawk not a bill & you know it
I think he belongs in the HOF period
I can't help but think what the hell was Pete thinking in that Superbowl loss. sdmh
marshawn and Desean Jackson played on the same team!
K. dot and Aaron Rodgers
& I think Brandon Mebane & Justin Forsett as well.
Yeah so did A-Rod.
talk about a back that always falls forward

+PockyCandy did you say he lacks the vision because he's legally blind 💀💀💀💀
PockyCandy Trent Richardson was nothing like Lynch, not his style not his physical traits, the only think close was the hair.
HE IS JUST DIFFERENT

+PockyCandy what's a tailback?
Ravi Basra It's another term for Halfback.
Cut from the same cloth as walter payton. Just a natural and raw runner with crazy finishing abilities.
It could be me. I could be wrong but it looks like marshawn got faster when he got to the league
No, it was the Skittles! Skittles are like Popeyes Spanish……… 🍎🍊🍏🍒🍓 🥱SKITTLES POWER!
Love your content man.
I was pretty good in H.S. or so I thought until we played against a guy as strong a runner as Lynch. If we did catch him, we just couldn't tackle him.
You play college ball?
Ur cappin
He probably wasnt even as good as lynch. You just felt like he was lol
@@Chiefland7 how much do they pay you shills to comment?
