I was as impressed as anyone with California Chrome's performance in the Pacific Classic, and by some of Frosted's performances this season, but this colt has got a lethal turn of foot and looks scary good. He set fractions in the Travers that had half the field looking like they needed oxygen by the time the field went past the 3/4 pole, and after setting hair raising fractions, he opened up on the Travers field at his own leisure like it was nothing. Mike Smith was simply luggage for Arrogate in the Travers. But then he finished up a short career with 3 straight losses, 2 of them embarrassing performances. Psychological burnout? Did he just despise Del Mar?
