I've really considered this. It just might be possible that Nas's less stellar albums (particularly in the 2000s and 2010s) were so because he just wasn't interested in digging that deep and giving his all to a project that won't ultimately be his. Ever since he's been on his own, there's been an entire switch in energy - especially his beat selections, which many thought was his weakness.
@@AFO_AnalyRics yeah, also the fact that KD 1 was gonna be a simple valentine ep but he got hyped while making it then turned it into a full album. Mans just tasted those vibes and now hes hungry again
Maybe they got raised right. My son is 5 he’s into Michael Jackson, Stevie wonder, 2pac and Nas. Also thinks Kobe Bryant is the greatest thing ever lol.

Nas is at a beautiful spot in his life and it shows. He’s always been #1 to me. Since kd1 you can just tell he’s enjoying life these days. Happy for him man. Can’t wait for kd3! That shit is gonna be nuts. They 3 for 3, so far. Also, dope break down of the album. Video was well done.
Been looking forward to this video. Nobody breaks it down like you two. You pick up on all the intricacies of the rhyme scheme and stuff that every other dude on RUclips totally misses, and that goes double for a Nas project. Nas is his own worst enemy in that it comes so effortless that we don't realise how next level it all is. With this on the back of KD2 Nas wins 2021 hands down. Everybody else need to take a seat because the senior citizen just dunked on all y'all.
HitBoy gave ill tracks, but the fact is, Nas is driving this project with his lyrics. No singer chorus. Only rapped hooks by Nas. I even noticed that HitBoy doesn't use his signature HitBoy tag at the beginning of each beat. That's a first. This project will be highly regarded in Nas catalog similar to how the original Lost Tapes was .
I picked up on that too! That Hit Boy didn't incorporate his usual tag. There's definitely something special about this project. Concise, focused, just lyric-driven and raw like classic Nasir.
People don’t dislike lyrical shit in hip hop, they just want it done right. And Nas is a prime example, old hip hop that evolved on time and it’s still great. That most people can enjoy.
Just happy to see people appreciate nas the way I always have .always will have him as the goat and still get excited to hear anything nas rap him and rakim only ones still give me that feeling 💯
