I'm sure you have heard this plenty of times before but this video is a masterpiece. It is disturbingly rare to find Pokémon animations that aren't parodies. They often have gore, nsfw, vulgarity, dark humor or all of the above. It is so wonderful and uplifting to see something as pure as this, this what Pokémon is all about.

I find this in 2019, and this is an amazing thing to find. It gives me a nice idea of something to do, and to be honest, while some impacts look brutal, it won't ruin childhoods, it's actually great to see. To add to that, this captures a stronger feeling of that opening, and while you know the outcome is good, the actual threat exists. 11/9, would recommend to everyone.
This was my very first pokemon battle EVER! When I was a kid, pokemon ruby version was the very first game I ever played. Treecko was the very first pokemon I ever chose. I remember this battle perfectly. The battle against the poocheyena at the begining of pokemon ruby will always be a special moment for me. This video captures a special feeling for many people who played through this as their very first pokemon battle. For many, this was the beginning of their journey and their glorious introduction to the wonderful world of pokemon. Thank you for making this video.

They've been making them for years to be fair - gen 3 and 4 have had a lot of attention, and now gen 5 is getting it, as each generation of young kids grow up and make nostalgia videos.

AMAZING animation. You really capture what a battle would look like with status AND damaging moves, something the anime fails to do constantly. In addition to that, you really showed Birch's peril well. I often hear people go, "Why is Birch afraid of a little puppy?" They forget that a: It's a wild animal, and b: It's based off of a hyena. To be honest, I'm not sure exactly how dangerous hyenas are, but unarmed I would never be down to 1v1 one. You've earned yourself a sub with this one. Keep it up!
I'll be completely honest, I teared up at the instant bond you could tell was between the trainer and Pokemon. This is a beautiful representation of how the show and games are supposed to be. It's so sad that I was half dreading watching this vid when it came up in my recommended cuz I didn't want to watch another morbid parody. The Poochyena looking horrifying and even rabid shows even more the fact that the professor was actually in danger and why they always tell you to never go into tall grass without a Pokemon. They are dangerous creatures that humans tame to be their friends and protectors and they help out each other. The visuals were great along with the fluid motion and expressions. A lot of people who dont know pokemon think it's about 'catching them all'. But the true heart of pokemon is the bond between trainer and pokemon. And after seeing Detective Pikachu yesterday, I'm fucking bawling.

This was amazing. A fantastic offering to the Pokémon universe that perfectly portrays one of the more exciting opening chapters in the series. It reminded me so much of the dream and hope of being a trainer it actually made me choke up a bit and get misty eyed watching it. Keep up the great work!

Man, I come back to this video every now and then. Every few years. The animation is wonderful and nostalgic. I remember first watching this video when I was 9. A lot of people who dont know pokemon think it's about 'catching them all'. But the true heart of pokemon is the bond between trainer and pokemon. And after seeing Detective Pikachu yesterday, I'm fucking bawling.

This was amazing. A fantastic offering to the Pokémon universe that perfectly portrays one of the more exciting opening chapters in the series. It reminded me so much of the dream and hope of being a trainer it actually made me choke up a bit and get misty eyed watching it. Keep up the great work!

Man I wish that we could actually catch pokemon, train them, and battle with them in real life. People could make technology to actually make robots fight like pokemon and we can command them on which move they can use.
