He doesn't battle in front of the net let alone tie up a man, he doesn't hit, he can't shoot a one timer. But the first 2 are huge factors for a D-man. So, I'd say do it if you can get Myers and a 2nd/3rd round pick back as well. Be nice to get your thoughts on what the Sabres do to the D pairs if this were to happen.

Watching the Sabres score 3-4 goals a game and lose each game because they allowed 4-5 goals is super frustrating to watch. If you score 3-4 goals in a game you should be winning that game 75% of the time.

He is also a player that will help the centre prospects that we have develop the way we need them to, and become better. Along with this, next season, regardless of anything, they were going to need to rely on one or two prospects coming up and making the jump to full time NHLer. Here’s why it would be Byram and not Power. Byram is set to become an RFA at the end of the season and will likely only sign a 1yr deal and hold out for UFA status the next season, where Power is locked up long term. If they trade away Power, they’re looking at having NEITHER of them at the end of next season. It’s a VERY shortsighted move if they do.
If I’m Vancouver I’m definitely trading for one or two of the young veterans on the Sabres. Cozens, Power? Both? Why not?
