These are all wonderful songwriting videos. The great country songwriter Craig Wiseman is huge on laying his whole life out...everything...in songwriting sessions. It's difficult to connect with people emotionally if you're not willing to explore what really touches you and why.

All the best songs are conversations and you can always hear conversational overtones in the phrasings.
I have to relive the heartbreak ever time I get into writing mode. I've fallen in love my final time. I must say the mind forgets so I've documented conversations with intonations and reflections. Having the ability to playback a loved one's voice was something Lamont didn't have. I have an enormous advantage because I throw a little of my loved one's phrasings in the song as sort of a wildcard factor. If I can't be with the one I love, I guess I'll have to settle for this. I lost my teen years and radio/music comforted me and was similarly my best friend.
