I know this probably doesn't fit well with the series because you mostly use primary sources talking about how they wrote songs, but I'd love it if you could also try to break down and imitate songs where there is none. The songwriter I'm always enamored by is Syd Barrett and his solo works, and I'd love to see someone tackle the style & break it down and attempt to replicate it.
That is something I would like to explore; there have been a couple artists I have done research on where their process is so intertwined with their collaborators that I felt I couldn't cover them without one myself. Lamont was almost like that, but his book had so much great info I got a lot out of it on my own.

Have you tried expanding your project to fully replicate the 'H-D-H' process by collaborating with others?
