This is one of the best tarantula videos I've seen to date, i subscribed within the first minute and i dont think I've ever subscribed to a channel so quickly before. Whats more it just kept getting better. I only have 3 t's so far a Versicolor, P Metallica and a Mexican fire leg, two of which you displayed here which was awesome but after seeing your video i have a few more that are now on my list also. I did have a GBB as well but once it matured into an adult male unfortunately it didn't last much longer maybe just 3 or 4 months before he sadly passed away. im currently on the lookout for a female GBB. Im a sucker for the colourful T's. Anyway thank you for this incredible video, I've shared it with a friend who shares the same passion as me. Really looking forward to watching your other videos now :)
I’ve held all my Ts which include P. regalis, C. natanicharum, P. murinus O. Violaceopes, and H. himalayana. Regalia (who I named Jessica) is skittish in her enclosure but so chill when handled. Regardless, old worlds are fast, and can be defensive, my obt, violaceopes and electric blue jump, it’s not recommended to handle but if you’re ballsy 🙆🏽♀️
Hey Brother nice to see your channel, I really enjoy your Knowledge and education. I was in the Hobby a while ago when I lived in nyc, then I lost my father Brother his daughter and my mother got really depressed and fell dead to the world..now 3 yrs later im living in Florida getting back in to this great hobby. I have about 50, And a few scorpions and centipedes, But on my dream bucket list I hope to own a P Metallica and a Brazilian jewel one day those are my 2 dream Species of tarantulas. Keep doing what you do my brother I watch your videos all the time they relax me watch all your beautiful baby's god bless & I plan to look at what you have for sale on your Website. Cheers.🙏🏻
Thank you for showing us your T’s…you have some beauties there. :) Question: have you ever considered having an OBT? For some reason that species in particular fascinates me! (Probably bc they’re cranky as hell, lol.)
Great video big fan ,Have a small Balfouri commune a mix of 200 Juvies and adults, Also got a few small other commune’s most are slings,10 P Metallica,s 10 P regalis, 10 P ornata, and 10 N incei gold, But my real love is for Balfouri s, Kings and Queens of the communal world, KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK 👍👍👍👍👍
Wow, you got quite the communal setups. Looks like we share a common interest. lol. So question for you, have you tried to add smaller sized Balfouri into a communal of large ones? If so, how did that work? I always try to only add approximately the same size.
@@UrbanTarantulas No I havnt I allways try to keep any chances or predation to minimum risk, My first Balfouri Commune 4yrs ago did have slings,Juvies and adults in just so I could try and learn as mush as possable about communes with the biggest scope to lern info, Forty went in and 2 years later 38 came out 2 loss was male(old age) and another bad molt, Now with communes I just have juvies and adults in together with no slings although on that first commune I was suprised to see adults protecting slings and not bothered about slings climbing over them. I have another commune of 15 Adult females and 10 Adult Males to try and breed within a commune that’s been running 8 months there in a 4ftx2ftx2ft viv to give room but still a community but as yet no sacks,👍
Hey man tahst so cool, how big is big bertha? 6 inches? y believe my female versicolor is like 4 inches, idk if i can take her to breed rn, any suggestions?
Man that p Metallica was huge! I had one I was hoping to get to see grow up, but it died molting at about 3 inches. I got an H. Maculata to replace it and he's pretty cool too. I'd love to see if you have one.
@@UrbanTarantulas yes they are! Mine is 3.5 to 4 inches and is more shy than anything. However, anytime I open the enclosure to fill the water dish, feed, etc, it flies behind the cork bark. Other than that, no problems and I love the colors the males have as opposed to the females.
@@UrbanTarantulas lots of people are afraid to keep them because of a bad reputation, but I don't find mine defensive at all, just shy. Mine is a male, so it won't get that crazy white, but right now he has this olive/gold carapace that's amazing
Thanks bro... I've been telling people im going to write a bite report for like, a year now... im so bad at certain things lol. To keep it short, and sum it up in a few sentences: Physical bite pain only last a few hours. It was what came after that was horrible. The cramping! I call this the great cramp of 2022. I was cramping so hard, my entire body, that my wife had to dress me and put my socks on for about 7 days. Basically if you get tagged by a Pokie, expect to be OUT OF SERVICE for a week. At least that was my experience. There was also fatigue, and for some reason my feet hurt even though I was sitting or laying down most of the time lol. It was an educational experience for me. It sucked, but im glad it happened because "now I know" lol. I would not want to get tagged by a Pokie ever again. It sucked!!
I love the blue when they’re little, I call mine a little blueberry too. It’s pushing 1.5”-2” now and the blue is slowly diminishing so I got another sling lol 😂 it’s only 1/2” so I got some time. I just got a Purple Pink Toe and it’s tiny, I’m nervous since everyone says they die easily but they’re so gorgeous as adults ❤ I had to give it a try at least once so fingers crossed I can get it past this fragile stage. Any tips?
Yes. I bred the Minatrix, and raised them communally without any eating one another. I sure did. I have a few breeders now, and you bet im going to try it again. :)
Seeing how rough you are with those metal tongs ,I have no idea how you havent been bitten more often . Be more gentle with them for goodness sake don't be so brash .
@@chiphass4797 I would like to say... 7in. I've once seen a ginormous one so many years ago. I was a beginner back then, so I can't really recall the size, but I saw that versicolor and was blown away by its size. So I want to say 7 maybe. little bigger.
@@UrbanTarantulas That’s massive! I hope my female Caribena versicolor gets to that size. She is around 4.5 inches currently. How long would it take for a female to reach that size.
I love people that handle your tarantulas
Every regalis I've had was holdable and did great in no wind areas
Thats a whole lot of nope for me. I wont even carry my Brachypelmas.

I have a baby Mexican half and half 😂 yay they Yeet themselves too 😂
My avic died a day after a smooth molt sadly but my caribena has been smooth sailing. I got them same time as slings
Where did you find the enclosure for the large p Metallica
Are those springtails in the communal tank?

What was getting hit by the Metallica like?
How big is Bertha your Caribena Versicolor, is she over 6 inches.
I would say just about there... 6 or maybe a tad bigger? They get much much bigger by the way.

Some can be fast... thats for sure. Just gotta have a catch cup always ready. I should take my own advice.
If they jump and hit the ground they'll burst and die bad idea to handle friend up to you though🕸️🕸️
Weed and Tarantulas not a good mix😂
