Just started getting back into throwing. I'm 25 now and played in high-school. I always had good "form" but I recorded a video of myself pitching and I need to tweak some things. Your videos give me the confidence to get back in the game. Thanks guys!!
John I've been watching Top Velocity for about 4 years now. This is a really great breakdown and a very easy to understand explanation of the hip to shoulder separation. Thanks to Brent for this and you for gathering together and collaborating.
Dang, two Tommy John surgeries and a labrum survey later, I wish I had this guidance 15 yeas ago. But thanks to these videos, I decided to pick up a baseball all these years later and throw harder than I ever have. I sure hope you don’t pitchers and parents are guided to find all this useful information. Thanks guys.
Really good content coach. Love your channel. Keep up all your hard work helping us northerners out with the next level of the game. This is one of your best vids ever.
Hey Coach Maddon, Your looking Pretty Jacked these days.. Could you do a video on Conditioning for Pitchers off season and in season as well as for everyday players if possible... But for pitchers Running program, weight program and possible Throwing program... Or possibly let us know what all you did or teach your current players.. Love the Channel.. Look forward to your next video.
Hey Coach , my son (11u) used to locate better than anyone but since learning a curve he cant locate his FB . Hes throws RH and has been missing away from a RH batter . Any thoughts or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Hello my name is Elijah Quinones and i am a big fan of you I play in the major division for my little League and a lhp can you please give me some tips on how to be more fast and accurate
girish sista Yes, the only difference with throwing in the field is that you may have to shorten up depending on the play. Example: speed of runner, throwing on the run/across your body, close to your target, etc.
Coach when you are throwing a ball in the infield should you drop your back shoulder like the opposite of batting and the get Torque, should you or should you not. I saw someone do this and I didn’t think it looked right. Is it correct or not? Thx coach
When your throwing a ball in the infield I saw someone dropping their back shoulder in his load to get velocity like he was pitching does this work or not? Thx coach
Just FYI, not being a jerk but you never throw a punch the way you demonstrated. That is known as telegraphing. Fists would be out in front and you deliver a punch by bursting forward driving the legs, rotating hips, and punch straight through. Never load a punch or you will never hit a moving target. More likely, you will be counter punched. Just sayin!
