Thanks brother! yea its the same one I wear in the navy so im use to it. Dang wish I knew that you was selling it, I would have jumped on it! thanks for watching and commenting, going over to your channel now!
+okkk3 I like the maritime one better, it has more mobility and a spot already made for side sapi plates where the land vest you have to add side pouches to have side sapi plates. Which makes you wider and they stick out
Like I said in the video it is the same vest and setup I use in the military, so im use to the feel of it and operating in it, so to each there own. thanks for watching
You mentioned the MTVs that the we got from the Marins. The only reason they sucked so bad is that we where not allowed to strip them down by removing all of the bullshit that comes with them. I'm referring to the collar, the throat protector, the front flap, the stupid butstock tube thing. I'm glad to see you got the CIRUS. Use a plastic carabiner for the sling issue.
Now that's a great and detailed review! Thank you very much on that. About the neck busting sling, allow me to try and help - what about integrated sling, that mounts on the back, comes underneath the shoulder padding to the front? Although it fixates your weapon generally in the center, it also allows it to move asides and quick detach it if needed..
+Michael Fulcher ooffcourse, but it can be figured to be detacheble to, integrates with the vests quick release system-ill try to find a link to it for you.
+Gleb Proskurnin I own this vest, don't need a link but thanks. A better and slightly longer sling will solve his problem. I use a Magpul MS3 in both 2 point and single point without issues. I have used shorter slings where I had his same issue. That's when I thought of running them through the shoulder pads but then they messed with the detachment system. I have since tied off the straps with a zip tie and removed the detachment cord.
Only problem with this vest is the back plate sits to low other than that it is awesome the $100. Like new prive now days. Jus have to rig plates to sit a little higher in the pockets. Which isnt hard. I love mine.
I appreciate it man. I have been looking at plate carriers and am torn between the large (not being a huge guy, but carrying a bit more weight than I used to, no I'm not a fat coucherator) versus going with another brand in a closer size. Any thoughts?
I got the same vest with soft armour and full daps with soft inserts for only 172 at this local place still in plastic I jumped on that shit hardcore anyway they make the collar don't know how much eagle induatires sells it for but if you still need it let me know I'll give you the details about the store the daps are 7.99 each
The side SAPIs can actually fit in the front of the plate carrier next to the front plate. if you have the soft armor backer, it holds the side plates in quite well.
Hello! Know this is an old video, but can someone of you CIRAS owners tell which is the right size for a 6'2 and 180 pounds fella, would much appreciate it.
good evening ! my questions are 1) will it fit well to me the medium size? ( i'm 5'8 tall,176 pounds ) 2)is it possible to put smoke/flash grenades in these front pouches? and 3) which is the exactly colour of this plate carrier ! thank you !!
yes medium should fit you ok, dont know about the smoke grenades, you should be able to find some surplus pouches for them on ebay, and coyote brown should be the color
@@seabee277 I have the Maritime CIRAS, is that not what you have? The should be a small slot just to the right or left of the pull tab. The cable is supposed to go in there then come out on top into the shoulder strap. Unless you have an older model which I don't know about.
The size difference is what size soft armor fits in each vest. Small will only fit small soft balcs armor. Large fits large sapi plate and large soft armor balcs. I read this I believe on eagle industries website. I'm the same size as the guy in the video and the small fits fine.
im 6' and 205lbs and I wear a medium as seen in the video, you dont want a loose vest then all the weight will be riding on your shoulders when you wear it.
why did you buy one, if you already have one issued from whichever branch you serve/served in?? I just bought one myself, i serve as a rifleman in the Danish army. now i see the video is a year, give or take old, how is the vest holding up?? and how much have you used it?? i have used the shiiiit out of my blackhawk molle chestrig and after 2 years of use, I mannaged to break it. so whats your thoughts and ideas, now that you have had it and hopefully used it during service for a while??.
I bought my own because when I change commands I have to turn the one I got issued in. My personal and my service vest is holding up good including the velco, just gets nasty after a while when you sweat in it every day, just get a large tub and fill it up with warm water and laundry soap and hand wash it and your good to go again. Hope this helps
I have been debating if i want to drop some serious coin on this vest or not, i mean i want to but im not sure what size i would be. I have a condor one that i use for range fun, but i want a good plate carrier for SHTF stuff. Im 5'5 and about 200lbs i don't like most of these plate carriers that have almost all of your gut exposed. I like the length of my condor one. I think i might settle for the Lrg size, hoping my 10x12 plates will fit without any issues. About soft armor, well since your military you can buy it from most places that require credentials, skdtac.com has some, entrygear.com has some, lapolicegear.com to start off with.
Thanks for the info brother! I choose this vest because like I said its the same vest the military issued me so im use to it and knew how it was, so I hunted on eBay for awhile until I got ahold of a really good deal. As for size im 6' 205lbs and I wear a medium size, cause if its a loose fit it puts a lot of the weight on your shoulders. you got to remember the sapi plates were made to protect just your vidals i.e. your heart and lungs. hope this helps thanks for watching and thanks for the comment!
+Tactical Crusader yea i was told to get a size smaller than your t shirt size and i wear a large. I just want to make sure i get it right since i will be spending a lot of money.
Many people don't understand that plate carriers aren't made to cover your gut. they're made to protect VITAL organs, i.e. your heart and lungs. you can bleed from a gun shot for days and still survive. I have a buddy who is 6'0 and 195lbs and he still wears a size small. im 5'8 140lbs and I also wear a small. its really ergonomic, but in my 4 years of wearing it, its honestly shit. unless you plan on doing maritime operations where you have a chance of falling in water that could drown you you don't need this type of vest. Save your money and just buy a Crye JPC. Also stay away from companies like Condor and 5.11 for plate carriers, they are also shit. Crye is kind of the Gold Standard when it comes to gear.
I know this is an old video, but they have Ballistic collar and throat protector pieces for this vest on ebay as well.
Love the 4 pouch in front, not like others got only 3.
You can adjust it yourself, it's MOLLE
Great choice on the vest, brother. I wish you had bought mine though lol, I recently sold the whole rig, soft armor and all
Thanks brother! yea its the same one I wear in the navy so im use to it. Dang wish I knew that you was selling it, I would have jumped on it! thanks for watching and commenting, going over to your channel now!
+seabee277 nice setup thanks for your service. which do you prefer the land or maritime ciras vest and why?
+okkk3 I like the maritime one better, it has more mobility and a spot already made for side sapi plates where the land vest you have to add side pouches to have side sapi plates. Which makes you wider and they stick out

I got issued this when I was in 3rd recon ... I got out in 2013 and I still have it to this day

If you run things through the shoulder pads they will stop the vest from falling away when the release cord is pulled.

Sweet great review. I was wondering if they had side plate pouches and you answered it. thanks
Thanks for watching, Glad I could help
I just got a CIRAS style airsoft vest and this is a good video
thanks
:)
Stealth Armor Systems has some pretty reasonably priced panels.
Thank you very much for the info!
I got the soft armor with the side wings that fits that vest imma look for one
Only problem with this vest is the back plate sits to low other than that it is awesome the $100. Like new prive now days. Jus have to rig plates to sit a little higher in the pockets. Which isnt hard. I love mine.
Hey man great video and all you have to do is run your single point through the shoulder pad that will solve the problem your having
I appreciate it man. I have been looking at plate carriers and am torn between the large (not being a huge guy, but carrying a bit more weight than I used to, no I'm not a fat coucherator) versus going with another brand in a closer size. Any thoughts?

hello, the vest looks good, I like side closing, but I noticed that the side panels do not cover the whole hip, is not it a problem?
it`s just because I am a fat body
Great video! Salute!
Any idea how to add side SAPI pocket to the PC?
The side SAPIs can actually fit in the front of the plate carrier next to the front plate. if you have the soft armor backer, it holds the side plates in quite well.
Is it possible to use soft armor in conjuction with side plates and main plates?
if you get a scarf or something you could probably avoid the sling problem
Green2 tactical has soft plates
I know this is an old video but does anyone know the mag pouches that are made for this vest?
Where'd you get your type iii combat shirt?
It was issued to me
same shit they issue crs. pretty good kit.
Hello! Know this is an old video, but can someone of you CIRAS owners tell which is the right size for a 6'2 and 180 pounds fella, would much appreciate it.
Small
man, can you give me the name of your body armor plate, and the size, thanks
It's a medium just like the vest not sure of the name, you can go on ebay and type in sapi plate and a bunch will show up. Thanks for watching
+Seabee277 thanks man
What are the clips inside the front panel supposed to do?
good evening ! my questions are 1) will it fit well to me the medium size? ( i'm 5'8 tall,176 pounds ) 2)is it possible to put smoke/flash grenades in these front pouches? and 3) which is the exactly colour of this plate carrier ! thank you !!
yes medium should fit you ok, dont know about the smoke grenades, you should be able to find some surplus pouches for them on ebay, and coyote brown should be the color
you didn't route the cable correctly. It's not suppose to show in the front. Route it through the panel on the side. Also tuck the end in the keeper.
Not on this model, the loop is supposed to be right in front for easy access.
@@seabee277 I have the Maritime CIRAS, is that not what you have? The should be a small slot just to the right or left of the pull tab. The cable is supposed to go in there then come out on top into the shoulder strap. Unless you have an older model which I don't know about.
BAE Eclipse Gear MOLLE pouches are US made and cheaper than Condor which is probably Chinese.
From what I understand, you can still get a neck guard which fits this?
Can u only put sapi plates in that carrier? Or can it fit other plates like AR500 maybe?
hey thanks for the review? I have a question about sizing. What size are you wearing, and how tall are you?
im 5' 11" and I was wearing a medium

What bag do you use with this vest? Will ALICE works? How about ILBE?
Nice review. Thanks! How has it been after these years?
Have you tried the additional neck protection? That could help with the rifle sling...
has held up well, For the military I had to wear it on a daily basis in high temps, gets pretty smelly but other than that holds up well lol
I'm 181cm/6' ish, about 82kg/170lbs, what should fit me the best? Medium or Large?
im 6' and 205lbs and I wear a medium as seen in the video, you dont want a loose vest then all the weight will be riding on your shoulders when you wear it.
+Seabee277 I see, will def not go for largr then. Thanks for the quick reply.
How the hell do you put this together ?
Im issued this vest as well, I absolutely hate it.
ever had to wear the marine corp IMTV? after have to wear that for most my career I love this vest lol
Yeah. 2023 and they gave me this. Dogshit vest.
why did you buy one, if you already have one issued from whichever branch you serve/served in??
I just bought one myself, i serve as a rifleman in the Danish army.

Hi! It's in MJK or Coyote?
looks like MJK
is this khaki or CB?
CB I believe
hi man, what size is your side armor plate? 6×8?
6x8
