    It's great to see FreeCAD getting decent drawing tools. Very excited!

    Thank you so much for putting this video out. I make drawings for my personal use most of the time but lately I have had to make them for other people and I like to make them as professional as possible. Great job.

      What’s GT&T

    • @christopherbrosz5003
      @christopherbrosz5003 Год назад

      @@toysforboysrc do you mean GD&T? GD&T stands for "Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing". It is a method of dimensioning and tolerancing engineering drawings using symbols to describe features and surfaces of a part. The symbols describe how flat a surface needs to be, how parallel two surfaces are, the position of holes, the limits of a profile of a part, etc. This method is standardized and governed by a committee by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. The current standard is ASME Y14.5-2018. This is just a brief explanation.

    Thank you for crating and providing those videos on RUclips for all FreeCAD beginners and even some advanced users. GD&T will become more and more important with time as this is a requirements from many manufacturers. I personally think that we need to reduce the amount of workarounds when creating technical drawings in FreeCAD.

    Hi. Joseph . I've been missing your videos on freecad . Hope all is well with you and yours my friend . I'll watch tomorrow.
    All the best

    Tnx. Can you do "4X basic{9.0}"? I hope someone from the developers community of FreeCAD or Ondsel will recognise the need to make the GD&T tolerancing easier: I think we should not need to give it separately. And converting the bubble to feature is a hassle if you need to give lots of them.

    hi , thanks for your video, it's very clear of your explanation. I'm wondering if you could make a video about how to use how to create a vertical/horizontal chain dimension in TechDraw WB of Freecad? It bother me for a long time...

      There is a button for it in the late version 21.2. I'll see if I can get that out pretty soon

    I found this part on Grabcad but in Alibre format for an Alibre video. Is this what you are referencing or is there another in the Freecad format?

    I like your channel considerably more than others although there are many talented ppl out there. I’m watching your beginners tutorials but it’s anticipating trying to get to the sweet spot where I’m passed the basics and can get to the 3D stage but not too advanced designs and application. My first question is… is there a way to see the measurements in mm as I’m making lines and have all the dimensions appear as I’m making them and remain after the fact? Maybe I overlooked it or what not but this is day one for me.

    • @JokoEngineeringhelp
      @JokoEngineeringhelp  Год назад +1

      Thanks. I'm not sure I'm clear on your question- you are talking about adding dimensions to a drawing in the techdraw environment? Are the dimensions disappearing after you are adding them?

      @@JokoEngineeringhelp this is day one for me so i might not explain it perfectly. But watching further I believe what I was looking for was answered already but I’m not remembering all the protocols at the moment but I’m learning a lot!!

    You forgot to put a label for datum "Β"
    under the control frame of the hole Ø1.5.

      @@toysforboysrc
      It seems than Datum "B" is a datum feature
      and it is the main hole Ø1.5 .
      So, is needed under the control frame of that hole to
      put a black triangle and the label "B" in a box.

    Possible bug on Link branch (realthunder's build), but entering tolerances or editing in any ways seems to not work for me.
