1:48 Alright buddy, so go ahead and tell me to my face, the names of 3 characters from Shin Godzilla. I will genuinely be shocked if you do. At least KOTM had characters. Shin just had a bunch of boring politicians.
Look I get what you are saying, characters in Shin were less compelling characters and more ants swarming for a solution, but that rhythms with the theme. My problem with KOTM is that their characters were trying to be "characters" and fell flat on miserably boring dialogue. That being said, I'm grateful for your comment because it opens the discussion alot and you werent rude in voicing your criticism of the content. In a world were people throw around heinous insults at the drop of a hat, your restraint and calmness is appreciated lol
Now I will admit that this scene does sound stupid when you think about it. But your argument that Godzilla is just an animal and isn’t overtly sentient is wrong. We have see Godzilla acknowledge human and understand what they are doing, we see him in the same movie stare down the humans and from what we see in his eyes in that scene, it is showing us how Godzilla realizes what the humans just did and he knows that they are helping him. He knows what humans are capable of doing since we see that he sleeps in a temple that humans built for him which shows that he is more than just an animal driven by instinct because if I just built a house for a wild lion, it would just attack, but Godzilla knows that humans can provide for him. Which shows that while not big Godzilla can have a type of symbolic relationship with humans.
Forgot to ask, like and subscribe, all that jazz
