Rob the fact that your girlfriend is the camera girl. And she's willing to brave the cold , the bugs, and the gators to help with the videos. You need to marry that girl she's the best keeper. Oh hell yeah she’s wifey material. No doubt. I used to do all they’re doing w my now husband of 25 years!!! We watch these together, and reminisce- then we go out and relax watching our ONE average size pond- with koi and a couple catfish only. (It gets COLD where I am, so big giant ponds. Unless heated- won’t do well in Jersey)
I really appreciate the fact you don't hesitate to share your experiences and knowledge for those of us living precariously through you!

Hey Rob. Please don't feed Oscars to the catfish plague proportions or not. Use Tilapia or those Snake heads. Even Gambusia in large numbers would be better than Oscars.
You also need to put some substrate down in those tanks in the fish room and plant them up a bit. Bare tanks are bad for the fish in the long run. Its like you being put in a house with no furniture or worse still a jail cell. Hoping to see the return of those awesome Discus you had before the fire. That tank was really starting to take shape. Happy fishing mate.

@@braydencombrinck Well I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on that. Especially with fish that a have been caught in the wild. Fish are heavily reliant on their natural environment to stay alive. I've been keeping fish for over 40yrs so I have plenty of experience. Rocks and plants give fish a sense of security. Some also use them to hunt prey from in an ambush fashion. Without this a lot of fish feel vulnerable and stressed. No substrate allows light to reflect back up at the fish again making them feel un easy. Its like you on a hot day walking down a footpath and the sun reflecting back up into your eyes. Not a great feeling. Its also why dark substrates are recommended so as to absorb the light. Catfish e.g. Corydoras species especially dig through the substrate to find food. A glass bottom is very un natural environment for them.
I could sit here all day giving you examples of why bare tanks can stress fish out or you can simply just use your common sense and understand why all these things are naturally provided by nature. Its not for show but for a reason. Tropical fish are not ocean going deep sea Tuna. They need rocks plants etc .
But you do you and I'll stand by my 40 yrs of experience. Have a good one.

Some fish like Africans and so forth need sand as a substrate to breed...
But plecos and live bearers rather use bare ar it easier to clean and it works in the benefits of the fish and with quarantine some disease and parasites can use the substrate to it's advantage...
But Im not going to argue like you said your old already so keep your fish as you do because I breed my fish and sell them... But what do I know😂😂😂 gangsta think he knows everything cause he got age on his side😂😂😂

Lucky they are gators and not Aussie crocs or u would last a few secs. Crocs are extremely aggressive and will attack before u even have a chance to run away. Great video.

Nice catches, love the Everglades videos. Please don’t take this as negative because I ❤ your content. It’s more of an idea or option for you to try out next time 😊. With a shrimp that big you probably could of got away just free floating it with no weight, let about 10 ft of line out once it hits the water, close the bail and loosen the drag (just don’t forget to tighten when you catch a fish.) That way if your in a close enough distance you will here the drag pull when it’s bitten and if you get a catch it won’t take as much line . If I’ve got the option (Low current and wind) I will always free float especially with live bait it looks more natural to the fishies your targeting. ✌🏽❤️😊

Congrats! You got fish, but didn't get alligators, and the alligators didn't get any of you all. It's pretty sketchy with those guys around. It's a good reason to go try to catch aquarium fish in North Dakota. No gators up there. Not much in the way of pretty fish either. I guess life is full of trade-offs.

Although I wouldn’t have worded it like you. I have to agree about the camera work being very erratic, bad lighting, bad zooming etc. Rob definitely needs to find someone who has some experience to help him or have the camera person practice a lot. It will definitely improve his content for his viewers.
