Wow. Looking at the comments it seems I'm in the minority! I loved this. Her voice is so clean and simple. I'm bored of excessive vibrato, runs and shouting.

The most jouful moment of the voice this year. Simple and best song wver. Anybody who sings the smiths so well deserves respect!
This caught my ear. This made me so happy... her voice is like sunshine and summertime... I love this beautiful, sweet, happy voice... There are lots of power voices but very few that radiate so much happiness. I've never heard the original of this song but if I heard this on the radio I would be dashing out to buy it. Thank goodness for that bad break-up she had.

I love the Smiths, and can't get enough of this video.
Felt like this has been the kid genuine and 'happy' performances of all the Blinds. As much as they are good, belty singers and emotional ballads has never been my thing and I'm not alone in this it's clear. So happy to see her through. Need a diverse range of singers and performers.

OMG! what I have seen, I love her voice and charisma.
My favourite by far! This was brilliant.
I enjoyed this, but I was surprised that Laura got two turns. It wasn't that she sang badly, it was just that she didn't show anything that caught my ear, except for that little cry [break?] she used. But she did seem to rely on it a lot, whereas Bo Bruce, who had a similar sound had a much more accomplished and rounded set of techniques. There was very little light and shade in Laura's delivery, and she didn't show me anything that would make me think she would survive a battle. But good luck to her. Perhaps the Boy can bring something extraordinary out of her.

Actually it could be that Will was afraid of the same thing happening as last year's... Wait till the end and nothing coming along sucks, so he may have decided that he can settle for less and not risk it this time.
She has a beautiful voice I love her so much she is so different her voice is like clear water amazing
I'm a life long Smiths uber fan and well done Laura an absolutely gorgeous uplifting cover of Ask, you did the song very proud. I adore the tinge of melancholy in your voice too. I checked out the longer version on your RUclips channel and I am even more impressed. Well done .

much i did really enjoy this, it will come down to personality and song choice of the coaches in the battles that will go a long way to deciding who wins the voice this year.
I'm just kinda glad the smiths' songs are still on television some way or another.

+Elizabeth Robertson I'm with you in the minority I guess! I know its unpolished in places (hence 'audition' folks) Still, I loved her sound straight away! Warm, Funky & Fresh Style of singing, I love it when we get a unique singer who knows themselves and doesn't just conform to convention or the mainstream, but shows what's natural to them. Glad she's won her 1st battle now also!

As a huge Morrissey fan I think it's very hard to pull his songs off unless you're doing a straight Moz impression. This doesn't do it for me. It's not that her voice isn't pleasant- just that this isn't the song for it.
