I disagree on a few points. 1. The Black Coach being too micro intensive, given how the counts work very well defensively, you can set up your line and not have a ton of micro to do for the majority of your army. Don't know if it's gonna be a good chariot, but having a single fast unit to micro doesn't strike me as that bad. 2. On campaign you have such an easy time getting necromancer heroes (unless they changed the hero cap from growth buildings) that getting one on a balefire cart and another on an unholy lodestone cart shouldn't be a problem, so you can just stack the buffs.

I play Warhammer 1 only, but a good Vampire strategy is "spam them with zombies and skeletons, while surround them with Vargheists and Black Knights". Also use a Terrorgheist and a Vampire Lord with Dragon for extra maneuverability. That would be 1 Lord, 1 Terrorgheist, 4 zombies, 4 skeletons, 6 Knights, 4 Vargheists
The reliquary corruption only works when in melee, so you do want Ghorst in melee to get his full potential, but you don't want him fighting anything too dangerous

I think you might be underestimating a bit the power of Mournguls and more generally the power of units with Stalk. They are amazing in siege and settlement battles as you can send them to take position on a point and take/hold it before the AI realizes what's going on. They synergize very well with the rest of the VC roster for that purpose, especially fast cav like Hexwraiths or flying units. Depending on how and how fast the AI reacts, just send some of your flying units/heroes/lord or even Hexwraith/dogs to support the initial stalking squad and you can deprive the defending army of some pesky buffs, destroy defensive structures and overall win siege battles way more easily and way less tediously. Finally your take on Blood Knights might be a bit outdated and that pains me to say it. They're very expensive but don't really perform well for their cost anymore, they're getting pretty overwhelmed by a lot of the new cavalry out there (IIRC there's a video by A Rubber Duck of War out there where you can watch them get simply slaughtered by skullcrushers of khorne) :'(. This is painful for me not only because I love the VC and Blood Knights but also because if Blood Knights aren't viable anymore that leaves the VC with very few options for anti-large counters. I think CA should consider buffing them or maybe reduce their cost/upkeep or maybe finally give us a Grave Guard w/ halberds variant to support them.
Started the two days ago and the vampires always made a cool impression on me therefore I started playing them, but so far I was way too passive as I found my armies too slow to deal with mass ranged enemies as they would chew my army up before I could get close to them.

One of the sad parts of the VC is that Heinrich has one of the best melee weapons in the game...the Tomb Blade. But as you said, he's not a melee fighter so the only time he gets to USE the weapon is if he gets jumped by the enemy.
which is why its best to use him like a mortis engine. fight alongside your frontline which will protect him from most damage, while it activates all the strong passive abilities. got a problem with melee combat? someone is trying to assassinate u? call in krell :D
love to see undead werewolves witch hags and gunry mobs or TK skeleton archers on the vamp counts team & just remove the empire crossbow & gun dudes because u cant heal em & they just dont fit the style guide of the undead ...;),...,,
The army is too weak actually, all infantry except the wraiths are too wimpy & skeletons are not free. There should be more blood knight units & monster variety. I’ll be disappointed if they don’t make a vampire dlc.
Their leadership is called 'Bindin' which means how well the magic holding them together is holding up. Zombies are the most basic of undead units so are held together with very weak magic that can be undone very easily
They're boring. They're a melee faction, except... Except 100% melee. No joke, something no other race actually is. Yet without any of the fun bells and whistles of a melee faction. Their monsters are dated, the most powerful unit in the game (their dragon) a bygone of Warhammer 1, replaced by the multitudes of way better dragons from multiple other factions. The Vargheists are a thing of the past, and their vargwulf, while cool, is competed against by many, MANY other monster factions. Worse of all, they used to be one of the most interesting factions because of their ability to siege quickly (monsters, flying, Vlad), something that every race now has. Oh, and no artillery because F the counts. Yes, their two spells are gr- no, they're shit. Overpriced garbage that's only useful on certain legendary lords. They're not a "magic" faction. Chaos Dwarves, Ikit Claw, Wurzag, Morathi, Sisters of- You get the pictures. THOSE are magic factions. Vamps are a choice between two overpriced spells they can cast once in a blue moon. They were my favorite faction, now left in the dust and completely outdone and outshone by two fucking necromancers of all things. It's VAMPIRE counts, not NECROMANCER CUNTS.
@@JJokerMoreau i would argue that vampire units are more affordable. It doesn’t matter if the other two factions have stronger units if you don’t have the funds to keep them around or recruit them
@@Samagachi I wrote down a lot of my thoughts on the matter. You can choose to ignore it. My point is, you didn't play Vampire Counts because they're "affordable". You played them because they were an amazing monster race with the strongest beasts in the game (and a dragon!). Plus ridiculously powerful legendary heroes and hero units. All of which no longer applies. It's Warhammer 3, they've gotten a single real update since WH1. Two, if you count adding mornghouls to them.

I _do_ love spooky scary skeletons. 🤔
That send shivers down your spine
Yo! Those battle comps are pretty inefficient in campaign when playing legendary difficult and very hard.
Tell us whats wrong. Thanks.
I love all the content... and hate it at the same time 🤣 IE release can't come soon enough
An entire army roster based around early game, and still loses against anything but empire.
At Summerslam?
No range?? In WH3 we are able to hire/use other factions units right??
If you do the whole military alliance and build an outpost you can buy your buddies units. Or if you have a buddy your playing with you can build an outpost right away with them. I was playing Skarbrand and bought some dwarven quarrelers from my friend and it was fun seeing the dwarfs with red livery =)
Do vamps still have the tech to make skeletons free upkeep?
They do not 😞🔫
@@ColonelDamneders That fucking sucks lol. I was going to play them first but now I think I'll play Chaos instead. Great video, I'm looking forward to your ones on Lizardmen and The Empire
@@seneris Try Ghorst
@@akaroth7542 ok
@@akaroth7542 damn, you were right, he went from one of the worst campaigns to one of the most fun lol
grave guard with great weapons get a significant boost to their anti infantry stat, making their attack significantly stronger vs inf.
remember that the mortis engine HAS to be in melee to enable its damage aura. also it doesnt imrpove the stats of nearby troops like the corpse cart does...maybe they should add that too.
Colonel Damneders - Warns that crossbows are going to friendly fire your units in field battles. In the mean time battles is AI in campaign are 90 % settlement sieges...
Lizardmen next pls!!!!
Skaven next but you can vote by joining the discord on who's next
One of the sad parts of the VC is that Heinrich has one of the best melee weapons in the game...the Tomb Blade. But as you said, he's not a melee fighter so the only time he gets to USE the weapon is if he gets jumped by the enemy.
which is why its best to use him like a mortis engine. fight alongside your frontline which will protect him from most damage, while it activates all the strong passive abilities.
got a problem with melee combat? someone is trying to assassinate u? call in krell :D
Bro the wind of death looking weak as fuck
Might be the non-overcasted version?
No, nerfed to the ground.
👍💪🔥
play helman ghorst
get zombies
blob up
afk
It's been years, and over 40k subscribers. Please stop calling it mealy.... It's melee. Mell-ay
I like your work but dang I wish you weren't talking so fast. o-O
Why not use bats vs dogs? They seem better to me. Point, click, archer unit deleted.
love to see undead werewolves witch hags and gunry mobs or TK skeleton archers on the vamp counts team & just remove the empire crossbow & gun dudes because u cant heal em & they just dont fit the style guide of the undead ...;),...,,
The army is too weak actually, all infantry except the wraiths are too wimpy & skeletons are not free. There should be more blood knight units & monster variety. I’ll be disappointed if they don’t make a vampire dlc.
Hate to be that guy but melee is pronounced 'meh-ley'. Love the video though!
Meanwhile, I went back to wh2... Its so bad compared to 3..
I never play this faction because it give me nightmare😂
All you did was read the unit card.
Hey, anyone else remember the SKELETON WARRIORS TV show from the early 90's (I think?) If that's new to you, check out the intro song. It's meme.
How the fuck does a zombie lose hope?
Slaanesh is also 100% melee
@@Samagachi Except good. As is Khorne. As is Warriors of Chaos. Vampires don't feel good, and barely have a "unique mechanic" to speak of.
Agree , vamp counts is weak , they need unbreakable & perfect vigor mods 😂 i use those mods in wh1 & 2@@JJokerMoreau
The way you pronounce "H"
Their nerfed, useless in immortal empires.
Question: Is vlads healing cap higher or the whole armys when isabella and vlad are in one army?
All ethereal units…are a joke…empire swordsman…can easily destroy them…
How unloreful…hahaha…
Good work, great content... but why do are you in such a hurry to speak/tell/read the texts? Remember to breathe and the commas and full stops once in a while, please... kind reagards from Denmark + keep up the good work.

I wish you didn't talk so fast. It's very stressful to listen to.
god are you bad at this game
Is the von Carstein RIng still the same?
