Well, curiosity got the best of me and I gave into temptation ... I purchased this $199.99 jewelry jar from Goodwill this weekend. I've never paid that much for a jar before, but they're always fun to sift through. Was it worth it? Did I find any "treasures" inside? You tell me. I'd love to hear you opinions! :)

Hi, Lisa! I did, thank you! I hope you did as well! 😊
Glad you got enough to get your money back plus some! Thanks for sharing! Don’t mind at all speeding through plastics.
LOL! Me either! While there is absolutely nothing wrong with plastic jewelry (especially if it’s vintage), but so many of these were used a “fillers” for this jar.
How can I missed this 😮yt notifications is not good. Too many “ney” pieces for me but you should do good with the bench bead necklace and 14k gold pendant 😊Still a nice jar Doug 😊
Glad you found some treasure in that jar!
Me too! There was a LOT of plastic! 😂😂

@@VintageBoutiqueCali Thanks Doug I'm doing the best of that I can.
Doug, great finds!
Hi, Linda! Thanks so much for watching! 😊
I'd like to thank you for speeding it up. Despite nearly triggering my vertigo, after 2 days of digging thru plastic myself, I didn't want to see any more. Good job on the sterling and gold. P.S. I thought vintage was 40 years?
Just got done watching the Easter basket and this popped up! I think I am first! Jumped on at 8 seconds. Hope you get good stuff in it!
Hi, Shelly, and thanks for watching! Much appreciated! 😊
When you speed it up, you take away the fun of treasure hunting for your watchers.
Hi, Lady D! Thank you for watching and commenting! Yes, I do agree that speeding it up takes away some of the fun for viewers. That wasn’t my original intent when I started recording, and this is the first time I actually sped up a video, but hopefully you heard my explanation at 08:51 of why I did it this time around. Thank you for sharing your constructive feedback! 😊
Great finds
Thanks, Sherry ... and thanks for watching!
Just wondering, do all Goodwill’s have jewelry jars for sale? I live in San Antonio…I will have to visit the Goodwills in my area, how exciting, 🎉for your jar😁
Hi, Sonia! No, they do not. In fact, I rarely even see them here in San Diego anymore. The Goodwill stores here (for the last couple of years) are supposed to be sending all of their jewelry to the Goodwill corporate office so they can process it and list things online on shopgoodwill.com, etc. When I do happen to run across jewelry in a goodwill store here locally, it’s usually the newer, inexpensive fashion jewelry, which truthfully doesn’t have the same quality, craftsmanship or value compared to the older vintage jewelry. l actually have/use other avenues and connections to source my sterling silver and nicer vintage costume pieces, and it takes a while (and persistence) to build those relationships. Having said that, when I do happen to see a jar or bag that piques my curiosity, I may buy it for the shear fun of searching through it, but not because I’m trying to bank on finding treasures. I do it just for fun. It’s always a gamble and you have to be willing to take that risk. Sometimes you “win” and sometimes you don’t. There are other thrift stores (e.g., Salvation Army, Value Village, Savers, Veteran’s Thrift, Disabled American Veterans, ARC, St. Vincent De Paul, and a host of others) that may have jars or bags, depending on what part of the country you live in. It’s always a hunt. Thelma (a.k.a., Thelma Thrift) and Lucia (a.k.a., Lucia’s Splendors) are always finding jars/bags in the Houston and Portland areas, respectively, and it’s always fun to see what they find in theirs! 😊 Sorry for rambling … 😮
No speed’s for me ❤️❤️❤️
Saw you at Johnny's so came by to say hi... Come on over sometime! 🙂

The pearl necklace chain you said it didn't test sterling...did you test it for white gold?
Hello! Yes, I tested it for both sterling and gold … I just wasn’t clear when I spoke on the video. Thanks for taking the time to verify though! Much appreciated! 🤗
@@VintageBoutiqueCali sure thing! I didn't want you missing something possibly valuable. xo
