When a series has alot of characters it is a natural thing of alot of death. I enjoyed it growing up, they were a real family.
And it ended 40 years ago.
This doesn't give any post-show information about the actors other than that they're "living out the life," which is a strange way to say, basically, is/are. Betty Buckley became one of the greatest Broadway singers and actresses of our time. She had a cabaret show last year which I saw.
This video doesn't' mention the first one that died, Diana Hyland who played the mom and died during season 1.

Diane Kay aka Nancy was also not in the pilot episode.

Eight is enough is a enough to fill your life love I watched eight on Paramont I watched all of it only the only episode that made we’reNicolas, the baby brother messed up the family for the Photo album and one of the brothers got mad with him, and Nicholas ran away from home, and the police came to they house the only thing he had in his hands 🙌🏾 was the wagon that Nicolas left he had A clipping of a newspaper on the refrigerator and he took it. It was somebody that he knew that was the best episode It is enough it made me cry😢 because his feelings were so hurtful I will never forget that episode with so much love 💕 Ms Joy your new subscriber from Houston.Tx I am so 😞😢 to hear about Nic I didn’t know that he passed away that hurts my heart ♥️ may he rest in peace 🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️

They left out Diana Hyland, who played Joan, the mom ,in the early part of the show and suddenly passed away. Betty Buckley was brought in to pick up the slack as the housekeeper who eventually married the dad, (Dick Van Patten).
Exactly she only got to film the first 4 episodes of season 1 . She was also engaged to John Travolta

This show was ahead of its time predicting Children aged 25 to 30 are still living at home. Today college loans are keeping Gen Z kids in the parents basement.
