There should really be a separate category for God and Demi-God Packs. Pulling 8 SIRs in one pack and counting each one toward the overall SIR hit rate is skewing things massively.
Yeah Danny is a lot better at analyzing what's actually happening with pull rates, distribution, market prices etc. Meanwhile I sometimes feel like Wossy just regurgitates whatever the latest PokeBeach article is.
@ This set was pretty much 1:1 with JP release. Putting an SAR in each Elite box would make this set amazing. Not to mention that every single JP booster is high class meaning it will have at minimum a regular EX + a holo + reverse. Other JP sets guarantee an SR (full art Pokemon or better) or better in box + 3 ARs, with few more regular EX, and some other bits like masterball (in 151) or Ace Spec - basically you won't ever hit a dud box. Still better deal than EN sets. Makes the ARs accessible to everyone, and cards generally don't get super expensive (except full art trainers that carry waifu tax, but that's different story).
The reason TCG player's numbers aren't just x10 or whatever, is because they rounded down for the smaller one. i.e. Pokéball holos are actually 1 in every 3.02 packs, so a specific one is 1 in 302. They just rounded it down to 1 in 3 as it makes it simpler and makes more sense
1 SIR every 45 packs is one every 2 booster boxes (that don't exist) or 1 in 9 ETB's which will be harsh on the supply of ETB's available. Thats a bad rate of return for their own supply availability.
Pull rates are just straight up bad for a set constructed in this way. 30+ SARs and after pissing blood to even get the set, and then squeezing wallet to get enough packs for statistical chance - you get a 2$ Ogerpon.
@@samuelbourdeau1545 Just watching poketuberse online opening thousands of packs and pulling nothing. Also god packs aren't even being accounted for in TCGs info.
@@charlie_5ive excactly. Very different number then. I personally don't like that they concentrate the pulls like that just to give us god packs. God packs should be an addition but it seems it has not been
So, regardless of the algorithms applied to each of these sets, I still say there's very little accuracy. Yes, SSP took until earlier this week to finally hit my Latias, but I otherwise hit all SIR/SAR I wanted, specifically, in under 160 packs. All of them. Currently, with PRE, I've yet to hit a single one in about 100 packs. And God packs are seeding most of them, yes? I'd like to see if PCI's reprint shows any improvements. But all in all, clearly most ppl weren't around for the seasons of Burning Souls, Darken-My-Days, and Champion's Pain.
The impact of 3 slots where hits can come from changes things too. You can get an EX,SIR and Ace Spec in one pack. So the pull rates don’t hurt as bad.
I think a couple of things that aren’t really being considered though is, yes on Paper the SIR pull rates are the same as surging Sparks but this isn’t a regular set it’s a special set so it’s not as easy to get the same number of packs, based on those pull rates it feels like you get one in every 2 booster boxes with a normal set so to get the same number of packs in this set you would need to buy 7 etbs and even if you get them at retail which is next to impossible that’s double the cost of 2 booster boxes so it’s a lot more expense for the same pulls. I was certainly expecting this to be more like crown zenith, if you open 2 etb of crown zenith you would usually get 1 or 2 textured full are card maybe more so I just think it doesn’t feel fun to open and I think this set is seriously missing normal art rares. I opened an etb and got 3 pokeball foils exactly like you said but there just not nearly as exciting as 3 stunning art rares and I think not doing them has been a huge mistake and I can honestly say this has been the least fun I have had with a set since getting back in the hobby
I really wish the pull rates were like Crown Zenith. There's no reason a card should be darn near $2K from a set that's just barely a week old! I will laugh when Scambreon crashes in value by February.😂
100% people who say otherwise they just in it for the money and definitely don't mind taking advantage of people. I would not be surprised they hide actual pullrates to keep prices high, hence the massive amount of scalpers sweeping stores clean.
I got great pulls when Surging Sparks & other older SV set packs I pulled from. Also, nothing from Prismatic Evolutions since I was not lucky to get any of that product.
Literally my first pack i opened from a 3 pack blister i got a demi-god pack with the dragapult, heartflame ogerpon, and flareon ex..was crazy ...especially since i got nothing else after that
Its a double edged sword I like pull rates being not horrid but “bad” I hate the feeling of opening a booster box Pulling that secret rare And its worth £5.00 and everyone has them Or pulling a cool card and not being “valuable” but being ridiculous to pull Id love if sets were consistent where rares ARE rare And valuable. Yknow?
On this. The full art trainers being cheap and pull able i like As thats what the players will use at TcG tournaments. Whereas the sunbreon isnt going to be in every deck Makes sense for the collectors
Ptcgradio I love your videos they are very informative, however I have to strongly disagree with the numbers you provided in your videos... You are taking the numbers TCG Player provided who disregard (demi) god packs and combining all the SIRs from a (demi) god pack and adding them to the total. You can't just say on average you will pull 1 SIR in 45 booster packs, you would have to divide the SIR pull rates in different categories coming from regular packs and those from (demi) god packs. It's more then likely the SIR pull rate hasn't changed and is closer to the pull rates from Surging Sparks with 1 in 87 packs or 1 in 70 like Danny Phantump mentioned in his video, who also explained this all. We also need to know the pull rates of demi god packs and god packs, random guess so don't quote me on this, but if the pull rates for a (demi) god pack is 1 in 500 booster packs, the average collector would have to ignore these rates and never expect to pull a (demi) god pack, there aren't many collectors who can open that amount of booster packs. However on average the average collector could expect to pull 1 SIR in about 70 - 90 booster packs. This combined with the prices of Prismatic Evolution booster packs make it a very tough set to collect, something that's just not worth it imo. Not until TPCI distributes the reprint products and hopefully flood the market which will hopefully make the prices crash so the casual collectors also have a chance to enjoy Prismatic Evoltution...
the pull rates for 'a pokeball' are rounded. so really, pull rates are 1/3.02. funny enough this seems liike hits were stolen, bc printing 1 to go in every 3 packs sounds much easier
No the 1 in 3 figure isn’t accurate, it’s rounded. That’s how they get 1 in 302. When you look at smaller odds like that you’re able to be more accurate with your numbers which is why they don’t match up. 😊
I’ve only opened 7 packs out of my ETB so far and have only pulled 2 poke ball holos and 2 master ball holos. No good ones. Hopefully my last 2 packs have something else in them.
I guess this pull rate is somewhat believable and not. Pulled 3 gold in like 90 packs, so whatever . . . Also got 2 SIRs in like the same 90 packs, so whatever . . . Then the next 90 packs were all duds, dang it. It just random since no booster boxes.
No data available as very few have been pulled which makes it extremely hard to figure out. However, the pull rates for SIR’s in this video are wrong because they are skewed by Demi god packs.
I think their numbers are inflated or I’m lucky. I’ve opened 36 packs and pulled 10 pokeballs, 3 masterballs, 1 trainer, 1 sylveon sir, 1 sir trainer and 6 regular EXs. I’m having fun opening the packs.
Given your sample size is 36 packs and theirs is many many more, it’s far more likely you’re lucky. Conversely, I opened 31 packs and only got pokeball reverses, EXs, and trainer FAs.
Ali always laugh when people post that they got lucky and can't understand why everyone else is upset despite all the openings available on youtube where people open up 500 packs and get one eeveelution SIR
There should really be a separate category for God and Demi-God Packs. Pulling 8 SIRs in one pack and counting each one toward the overall SIR hit rate is skewing things massively.
God packs are skewing the SIR pull rates. Its about 1/77 packs not 1/45. Danny Phantom made a good video explaining this.
Yep, this has put me firmly back on the “prismatic disillusions” train
Even with these shewed pull rates, JP boxes have 1 in 10. With that many SARs in set it would be only fair if EN set reflected that. Alas...
Yeah Danny is a lot better at analyzing what's actually happening with pull rates, distribution, market prices etc. Meanwhile I sometimes feel like Wossy just regurgitates whatever the latest PokeBeach article is.
But is that not because they do more releases of smaller sets? Meaning those cards aren't as ", diluted" with the other cards?@@DivinePonies
@ This set was pretty much 1:1 with JP release. Putting an SAR in each Elite box would make this set amazing. Not to mention that every single JP booster is high class meaning it will have at minimum a regular EX + a holo + reverse.

I got pretty lucky from my ETB, 1 gold, 1 master ball, 1 aspec, 2 full arts, and 2 eeveelution pokeball holos
That's phenomenal yo
In your dreams lol

All my hits were trainers or an ex. No actual pokemon sar’s in the 4 ETBs I opened. This set is a bloodbath
Same here! I opened 3 ETB’s and pulled Two Cassiopeia’s , one masterball. Not a single SAR, and pulled ONE single Umbreon ( a basic one)
1 SIR every 45 packs is one every 2 booster boxes (that don't exist) or 1 in 9 ETB's which will be harsh on the supply of ETB's available. Thats a bad rate of return for their own supply availability.
But 1 in 45 is not correct as it’s skewed by god packs. The actual pull rates are approximately 1 in 75.
Pull rates are just straight up bad for a set constructed in this way. 30+ SARs and after pissing blood to even get the set, and then squeezing wallet to get enough packs for statistical chance - you get a 2$ Ogerpon.
You would be happy if IRs replaced poke balls and were worth the same though I bet
The TCGPLAYER pull rates for the SIRs is wildly inaccurate!
what are your calculations ? and where do you get your numbers ?
@@samuelbourdeau1545 Just watching poketuberse online opening thousands of packs and pulling nothing. Also god packs aren't even being accounted for in TCGs info.
They count a god pack as 8 not as 1 pack containing sar
And a demi god pack as 3 not 1

I opened up a Poster collection and pulled an Eevee masterball 👌🏽 Insane now to think how lucky i got lol

I ended up getting 2 PokeBall, 2 Full Arts, an Ace Spec and 2 EX in my one etb.
I saw TCG's pull rates before opening and it brought a little concern.
how do you pull what you can’t open or own?
I got great pulls when Surging Sparks & other older SV set packs I pulled from. Also, nothing from Prismatic Evolutions since I was not lucky to get any of that product.

Put a 0 at the end of 1/45 and that's more reflective of the SIR pull rates.
I got Espeon and Flareon SIR. Lugia, pikachu, oregon different kinds, 3 master balls,20 poke balls, and more.
Its a double edged sword
I like pull rates being not horrid but “bad”

I got lucky with my ETB and pulled a demi-god pack with Sylveon SIR, CM Ogerpon, and Amarys. I also got 1 tera ex, 1 Master, and 3 Pokeballs.
I have opened 40 packs or so & pulled 3 golds, 4 Masterballs, 11 Pokeballs & 1 illustration rare. Besides the gold odds I agree with these odds!
284 packs and we got 2 sirs and 1 hyper rare. Yeah this set is not great.
rarity of pull rates for SIR's + stock grabbed up by scalpers and restock alert discords = prices of any card in this set will be inflated

The pull rate is zero since only scalpers or their victims have the packs.
As always just buy the specific cards you want and save money. Only open packs if you enjoy it.
the pull rates for 'a pokeball' are rounded. so really, pull rates are 1/3.02. funny enough this seems liike hits were stolen, bc printing 1 to go in every 3 packs sounds much easier

You’re not accounting the one taken out of circulations lol thanks fusion.
Multiplying the numbers by 3... It's actually the pull rate... 😅
Managed to hit masterbal, 3 pokeballs, 1 sar and 1 trainer out of 1 etb. Will not be openening more, this set is to hard.

Didn't even got one masterball in 3 etb's and 1 binder box...
I know u wunna post about the revealed battle partners cards
How much is most valuable card in dollars ?!
Rounding errors. So specific one gotta look at full percent rate
“PACKS!” Lmaoo

@peterstainburn2871 thx for the info
Why would tcg include God packs? Makes no sense.
I lucked out and pulled the only gold I wanted: the Pikachu lol.
140 packs only 1 sir not an eeveelution 😢
My pulls rates were fucked
I think their numbers are inflated or I’m lucky. I’ve opened 36 packs and pulled 10 pokeballs, 3 masterballs, 1 trainer, 1 sylveon sir, 1 sir trainer and 6 regular EXs. I’m having fun opening the packs.

I pull 6 SIR, 5 hyper and 23 master ball
105 packs opened, 0 SIRs

Unfortunately underwhelming!!!😊
Dont matter much if you cant buy any lol
144 packs and no SIR. By TCG info I should have atleast gotten 1.
guess u failed your stats class

woohoooo
Let’s go
