Local guides were well worth it! What a great way to discover Samoa and the Samoa people. Would have liked to have heard more about the creek the family "owns" and takes care of and why that is important to the villiage. The two of you find some incredible adventures off the beaten path.

Love the discovery adventuring onto once again a new island. Your travels give notice to the outside worlds development as it’s ever present in the far reaches of the islands you make landfall. The young people are so much more fluent in English and it’s good to see the natives continue their strong sense of self in an ever changing world landscape. Memory of my visit did not include so many yachts, but the beauty of the islands and it’s people remain the same and my adventure was but a blip compared to what you share with us. Thanks so much for the effort put into these scenes and letting us come along if but for bits and pieces. I’m totally enjoying exploring all that is shared.

Wow how beautiful! I think I envy these people. They have such a beautiful island and they treasure their culture and language. And that lush green, I live on an island Malta but language and traditional things are all disappearing. Still miss the way we used to live before now it is all concrete building, overpopulated, sad to say.

The first thing you do when you go to Samoa is get rid of your watch. all sorts of things happen that break up schedules. I lived there for 8 months in 1975. I didnt see all those waterfalls like you fellas did. Overall it was great. I would swap anytime with living there to being in Oz.

Pleasant surprise to wake up to a notification from Sailing Yacht Florence thismorning 😀
As much as part of sailing is a relaxing attitude, when you visit these places that are really relaxed and not in any hurry at all,it gets frustrating,as you discovered waiting for the authorities to come to Florence, and the bus didn't turn up at all😩
So glad to keep watching your episodes, fair winds😊

Have watched a couple of episodes now. Pleased to see you doing things like sticking with a windvane, not having an electric anchor winch, using a sailing dinghy instead of an outboard. All make such sense for cruising with minimal energy needs. To see the other extreme watch sv delos latest episode 'hello lithium', what a contrast! Because of the high salt water and mist environment, electrics and electronics are always going to be under challenge aboard a cruising yacht, just my opinion.

ron ross Couldn’t agree more. Way too much reliance on electrics and electronics on most boats these days.

I can't find the second background song (starts at 0:26) at the link provided "Feeling Free" doesn't seem to match. A little help please?

I found it under "Moby Feeling," which oddly, I thought the song had a Moby feeling to it to begin with.

It's just a little further west than American Samoa. And very different. More original.

You are WRONG the origin of the word Tattoo came from Where. It was called Tatau. Get your facts right and it’s not from Samoa. From a Cook Islander it’s a insult to Tahiti people and to me because my family comes from Tahiti
