Awesome choice, good sirs! ‘Whole Lotta Love’ is not romantic, but God only knows how many children have been brought into the world with this sonic masterpiece. 👍🥳
The 1969 song - and the album - that toppled the Beatles' Abbey Road from the top of the charts, and put Led Zeppelin on the top of the rock world for the entire 1970's. Often played 20-30 minutes in live shows.

That sound that you keep saying “vroom!”, pans from left to right on earphones. The voice pans as well. Great song. I suggest “Heartbreaker” and “Livin Lovin Maid” back to back, and “The Lemon Song”.
I just started watching these videos today and I enjoy them. It's great to see the younger generation appreciating the music I grew up on and still listen to nearly every day. Great music is timeless. Good work, fellas. Keep 'em coming!
For me, it’s the notes, the instruments, the interplay between the musicians. The pauses, the rhythm, the vocals. Just 4 supremely talented musicians coming together to create beauty. I love this band. Genius.
Robert Plant was 19 when this was recorded. I'm seeing him in concert in June, he's touring with Alison Krauss who I'm sure is very talented, but I couldn't give a rats ass about her. I've been loving Zeppelin/Plant for too many years to mention, and Robert could sing the McDonalds menu, don't care, I just know I'm finally going to see this amazing performer.

THEY GAVE THEIR SOULS ON STAGE! peace from France guys 😂✌️👍🎸🇫🇷
This song is a reworking of a blues song written by Willie Dixon and recorded by Muddy Waters. The "race car" sound is Jimmy playing up the guitar neck. The strange sounds is Jimmy playing a Theremin. A Theremin is an aerial-looking device that creates an oscillating tone by moving your hand close to it and away from it and the pitch is controlled by a knob on a console. This was very avant-garde for its time. Another good term for their musical genius is Alchemy. You said you guys only listen to the Zep songs you've reacted to; well, this song sounds amazing on headphones because the music pans back and forth between the headphones. When you try it, you'll see what I mean.
Yep everything that Henrietta said!!! I would only add one thing & that’s when it’s time for you to check out Zeppelin live …def recommend ‘73 MSG performances you will see with your own eyes just how crazy amazing these guys were , you will find on RUclips, (from The Song Remains The Same). You will see the Robert/Jimmy stage presence & why imho, they are often imitated never duplicated.
@@lyndoncmp5751 That's a fair point. Major riff definitely a Jimmy Page creation. But a lot of bass line and rhythm came from Muddy Waters and Small Faces (who Zep watched perform You Need Love). Still made it their own tho
Before the electronic age, we composed music for acoustic instruments, first for percussion and melody, but by the 1600/1700s composers were experimenting with sound effects too--playing with the handle of the bow on a violin or weaving paper between the strings to make them buzz, mimicking bird calls with trills, thumb tacks in piano hammers to make them sound tinny... Good musicians today understand how to use electronics to explore the millions of sounds we have yet to hear. Y'all should check out something like Varese Poeme Electronique or maybe some Harry Parch (he built his own instruments). There are also cool crossovers from classical to synth/electronic: Isao Tomita built his own massive synthesizers in the early 70s and recorded Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition, replacing every orchestral instrument with an electronic sound of his own design. Humans are awesome. :)
Love to see you young guys embracing this music... Back in those days we had the British invasion Motown all the local homegrown bands I mean we were quite fortunate really. Led Zeppelin was one of those groups that just stepped outside of everybody was doing and changed the music scene like The Beatles did. I want you to imagine seeing these guys perform. The late great John Bonham drummer changed how drumming was approached... Jimmy Page using a violin bow on the guitar.... Robert plant's voice is other worldly.... And then you had the quiet John Paul Jones....bass... Keyboards... Mandolin...etc. so understated but so integral to the band. It was like when I saw Yes in their youth.... These guys along with Emerson lake & Palmer bought another great change to music. Thanks for enjoying and sharing

I didn't look through the comments from a year ago so likely someone already told you, but the sound made that got the reaction question of "whoa, what is that" and "it's like a race car" was made by Jimmy Page sliding the palm of his right hand up his guitar's fretboard.
A phone-droppin', ass-kickin' rock legend, this song! So cool to see you guys dig the song and especially the "weird" interlude before the guitar solo, one of the most iconic ever. Another guitar legend, Jack White (A fun introductory recommendation from him might be "Rag and Bone" when he was with the group called The White Stripes), said that when he was a teen just starting to play, he broke his Led Zeppelin II cassette tape because he kept re-winding and playing this 20 seconds of FIRE over and over again. I may have that story wrong a little, but you know what I mean here. Shout out to North Carolina too, man! Jimmy Page actually uses a Theremin to get those awesomely different sounds. Theramin is an Attenae type instrument, by waving your hand back & forth you can control pitch , sounds & effects. With the different control settings. 😎

And watching you guys in the current generation scream and get chills....and cry and fall in love with one of the greatest Rock n' Roll band in the History of music...is ..Awesome!!!! However....you guys are just scratching the surface of the greatness of this group. And there are other gods in the music universe that are equal to Led Zeppelin. Jimmy Page actually uses a Theremin to get those awesomely different sounds.
Theramin is an Attenae type instrument, by waving your hand back & forth you can control pitch , sounds & effects. With the different control settings. 😎
Imagine back in the day when I listened to Zep on a 350 watts per channel Technics Receiver on my JBL speakers with 15 lb. magnets on the woofers. At half volume it would literally shake my living room floor.
Boys go in order from album to album
Youl LOVE it
My wife and I love watching your reactions. We were born in 1961. We listened to all the bands in the 70s.
We would like to recommend a band called Journey song Separate Ways.
Thank you for your channel.

Led Zeppelin are among the gods of Rock n' Roll!!! And seeing this band created and formed in my time 1968 and watching and experiencing their music over the years has been Dope!!!! One of them is another band that I fell in Love with in 1969. I want you guy to react to "Roundabout" by YES. Give it a try!!! See if you can handle it!!! They are nothing you have heard or will EVER hear in this Life time!!!! Trust me bros.😁😁😁😁
