1:01 it's simple.
KLETKA(THE CAGE) is based on popular in Russia internet community created universe called "SAMOSBOR".
It takes place inside anomalous structure called "Gigakhrushchevka". Endless Soviet era panel apartment building with infinite floors, corridors, apartments and many types of living and other blocks and rooms. You play as the criminals that sentenced to KLETKA, to going down to uncharted floors of Gigakhrushchevka and make sure that elevator is repaired and "fueled". You stopping at floors to gather fuel, tools and other stuff while encountering anomalies, monsters, traps and of course... Samosbor itself.
Samosbor is a phenomenon\anomaly that occurs on floors of Gigakhrushchevka, purple smoke and smell of raw meat is the main distinc features that Samosbor is coming, if that happens run back to your KLETKA to esccape it or close metal hermetic door behind you (not in the room with elevator) and wait it out.

I’m your fellow subscriber that speaks russian, with a fun fact. Kletka actually translates as cage. I guess it because that its elevator cage and you trapped… get it? :D

Fun fact: game's name could be read as "cell" (usually referred to as a living one), and at the beginning Daithi nailed how it's pronounced

Welp, Im Russian, and in our region (origin of the game) it called not "kletka" but "klety" (Клеть), which means "cage". And in some cases it can mean "elevator". So, you can guess it.
