Why Dilip Kumar REFUSED Naya Daur?

Dilip Kumar refused BR Chopra for Naya Daur movie because Dilip Kumar was already in touch with another director for doing a movie on a similar theme. Dilip Kumar mostly did one movie at a time and tried to avoid doing consecutive movies on similar themes. Dilip Kumar also had reservations with the ending of Naya Daur and that also one of the reasons why he didn't wish to do the movie. BR Chopra's Naya Daur movie was all about the change that India was experiencing in the 1950s and Dilip Kumar ultimately did a phenomenal job in the movie that also earned Dilip Kumar, his fourth Filmfare award.
