Only one border crossing on that train.
I am lucky with my European passport no need for visa to travel these countries.

Only at the border towards the end of the trip. That took almost 2 hours leaving Kazakhstan and entering Uzbekistan.

If l remember correctly trains run Monday, Wednesday and Friday leaving around 6 pm
