Taking favorite bus #12 to the mountains again and then further up with the cable car to the ski resort Shymbulak. After a little walk in the snow and lunch we walk back down to the bus stop. #almaty #kazakhstan #mountains #shymbulak

After a quick visit to the First President Park we take bus 28 further up the mountains. From the last stop we start walking towards the lake. The 11,3 km should take about 7 hours round trip. There is also a mini bus going up. Don’t forget to bring your passport because you need it to get close to the lake. #bigalmatylake #almaty #kazakhstan #mountains #mountainlake

Beautiful afternoon to get on a 17 hour train journey from Tashkent Uzbekistan to Almaty Kazakhstan. After we passed the boarder (takes about 2 hours) we can enjoy the view. The evening we spent in the restaurant with a bier and nice sunset. Next day at 7am we are tired and in Almaty. #trainride #kazakhstan #uzbekistan #almaty #tashkent

First a little tour of hotel Uzbekistan and then we head down to Amir Temur Squar. After that we check out the red metro line with all the beautiful stations (cost 15 cents €). Then we have a long walk on the Amir Temur Avenue to the Besh Qozon restaurant for some delicious pilaf. 8th of November 2023 we take the train from Almaty to Tashkent. The journey takes about 17 hours and we booked a business class bed (only 4 beds in compartment) for a bid more then 50 euros. It’s a very new with a nice restaurant. In Tashkent we walk to our hotel.

First we take the bus 12 ( cost 200 tenge) up to the cable car at Medeu. Ticket to first base cost 4000 tenge round trip (8 €). We have little walk and enjoy the few. #shymbulak #almaty #kazakhstan
