for moral reasons, the Aliens cant let Nazis back engineer a wreck, and cant interfere with humanity , but , can give state of art technology and training to Americans and guide them ? (Americans aren't human?) Why would aliens dislike Nazis more than Stalinists, or Maoists or any other political movement getting their stuff ? , (with their stuff you 'can' get it all) - LOVED the movie ,, its like an 'Asylum' movie ! (they would have stuck in a pour CGI flying dragon somewhere),, Humm, what if the aliens had sided with Stalin?
Loved the overall story concept. I think that it would make for a great full-length Alt-WWII Mil-Sci-Fi novel or film. But . . . . 1) Due to the lack of survivability of WWII bombers and their crews conducting such raids, the USAAF would have never allowed a scientist, let alone a woman, to accompany such a flight. 2) Far and away too much "Tekno-Magik Handouts" with only a "vision" as a demonstrated counter threat from the enemy. Turning the "Flying Titans" into little more than invulnerable super-dudes without capes, and thus destroying any balance to the story that would engender any tension or excitement. 3) PLEASE! Turn Down The MUSIC! = Completely overpowers the narration which is far more critical to the storytelling. 4) Be careful recycling WH40K images. They don't play nice. Keep Up The Good Fight!!! I look forward to your further adventures! = Earned my subscription!
You have some valid points but you also have to consider that this is a very short and fictional story rather than a fully developed and full length novel. While I agree that a female scientist would not be a routine USAAF B-17 crew member, high value individuals did, on occasion and often against orders, ride with B-17 bombers during missions so that concept is not completely unheard of even in a strictly historical context. In a fictional setting, there would need to be some reason for a scientist to be aboard a bomber. The reports of "strange sightings and unusual weapons", as mentioned in the story, could easily supply that reason and even the reason for the existence of a "Sky Titan" squadron in the first place. Still, it would not be a "world class" scientist like an Einstein or Oppenheimer but they would still have utilized the best person available. That this "best person" might be female is not inconceivable, especially if this were some elite scientific unit operating outside the normal chain of USAAF command to gather information on a highly classified and technical subject. My point being, that it is not difficult to a small bit of reading between the lines and envision a plausible "female scientist" scenario even in this short story. As far as the techno-magic and ease of victory, I have to agree more strongly there. The imbalance, that you noted, was the inevitable result of the plot line where the Sky Titans received the "good stuff" manufactured directly by the Atherians while the nazies were left with whatever they could puzzle out from the remains of the derelict ship and scrap together supported by 1940's earth technology. The nazis never really would have stood a chance given that scenario. To get a better balance you would need to get rid of the technological "gift from the sky gods" to the Sky Titans and build a plot line supporting something closer to parity. That could be supported by a scenario where the Sky Titans also found some alien tech but not as much or as advanced as the nazies. But, the allies did have nuclear power to run their limited tech whereas the nazis had to rely on 1940's era power sources. Agree completely on the music. As others noted, it made the video difficult to watch. Fortunately , that is something easy to fix. I have no clue about the War Hammer images. I, too, subscribed and hope to see more stories. Considering that this is very short story, more of an outline really, it is not a bad effort and could easily be expanded to fill in detail and revised to provide better balance between the adversaries. 👍
