That is amazing I also got to meet him backstage back in 2011 at a concert in San Diego along with singer JOE. Jon B was so sweet and Joe.
Dude is mad cool. He finished a show in a small club in Charleston sc got off stage came over to our section and had a drink and chatted. I was like wth? He stayed for 20 minutes and said "I appreciate the love." It was surreal.
I met him outside of my local radio station and he is so humble and approachable.

Great story about the Tupac collab. This mans heart really is in R&B, "Cool Relax" was an amazing album through and through but Jon's other work is just as solid. His discography is so good, he's one of the very few R&B artist whose catalogue I have in it's entirety (every single one down to the latest single ft Donnell Jones). If you haven't listened to "Pleasures You Like" and "Stronger Everyday" (which definitely deserved more promo) go listen!

Drake sampled Jon B on his highest selling album Take Care on the song “Cameras”. I wonder what was that conversation like with him and Drake, and does Jon B get royalties from that song, or did Jon B bless him and just let him use it? Cause knowing Drake, he would of still threw Jon some money for clearing the sample lol
