Nice work on the head porting/ smoothing, the hydraulic lifters makes me like the x3 better but still love my YXZ gearbox. I really enjoy these style videos cuz they are educational in a real garage and still entertaining! 👍
Love these type of videos! Keep them going and keep tour normal ripping videos and I think everyone will be be happy! Can’t wait for the next! Thank you guys for all that you do!
Instead of a bucket of soapy water , try a big enough tote. Rebuilt my 1st motor with no book at the prime age of 12yrs old. I could work on this stuff every day. I enjoy your videos.
I do enjoy these tech vids.,great education and perhaps inspire me to do more internal work myself. Anxiously waiting the test and tune portion now. 🍻 dudes!
Just finished my YXZ turbo build (Push Turbo) used original bearings also they were as new. big job i appreciated all this info cant wait to see how your YXZ goes compared to Beast Mode
Awsome job doug! I enjoy the technical videos it's a good learning experience. Kinda wish it was on turbo razors more just because I bought a 2019 RZRT
Choice as bro! Finish off the week with some good content from you guys..... damn it was hard resisting to watch during work time haha. Oi Dougie are you tricking us with re using the bearings? 🤔
Classic piston mating video with a little bit of lube and pizzas. Amen Also appreciate the in-depth look on certain jobs and why you should pay the fee for a good mechanic run 1 instead of it costing you more in the long run 🤘
Love the meat and potatoes vids guys. Interesting to see that there is a manual chain tensioner in that engine. Polaris uses a hydraulic tensioner and it is failing in my machine. This will be the next maintenance issue to deal with. Keep up the good work. And Doug....10 hours in your own shop is far better than leaving to make money for someone else :-)
Doug don't play he knows his shit and does Kick-Ass work and I just seen beast mode that damn Super Freak nasty sick it gets down and looks awesome man you guys Keep On Keepin On thanks for all the great videos Man👍👍👍👍👍👍👊👊👊👊👊👊
Ok Guys Thanks a Million for the details on the scratch! Wow it almost looked like a crack. Are you certain the bores have sleeves? Should be able to view them from the bottom! ??? Great Work. Support is on the way!
Big difference between "assembling" and "building"... Building = check ALL Clearances. Good news is metals and tolerances on today's engines are very consistent compared to the old days... For those that don't know, it also makes a difference what lube is used on the rod bolts bolts when they're torqued...
I think the two motor builds are reflections of their owners. Doug would never re-use rod bearings and tty bolts on his yxz. Leonardo’s engine motto is “eh, it’ll be fine.”
I would like to see a video on the clutch after that much power and that many miles on the clutch. Like wear on the buttons and how egged out is the governor cup were the buttons sit. Im sure it needs a rebuild.
i was thinking of putting a 350 chevy eng. with blower in a mavrick xrs an see if i can smoke the tires in all 4 wheels at the race track what you think doug
I like the in-depth technical content. I used to work at an an engine shop and I still learned some stuff
Tearing apart engines and fab work is always my favorite to watch, people get to learn and hopefully inspired to give it a shot.
I’ve said it before I’ll say it again. Doug is the man!
Boy is he. I don't think there's much he can't do
You ALL are badass dudes! But I really like how Doug goes in depth on instructions and what he is doing! Great vid buds
Really enjoy these shop videos. Especially engine builds and the such. Nick Leonards singing, not so much! Haha
Keep up the good work!
Nice work on the head porting/ smoothing, the hydraulic lifters makes me like the x3 better but still love my YXZ gearbox. I really enjoy these style videos cuz they are educational in a real garage and still entertaining! 👍
I like the motor build vids, something I dont have experience with so watching and learning is great
Love these type of videos! Keep them going and keep tour normal ripping videos and I think everyone will be be happy! Can’t wait for the next! Thank you guys for all that you do!
HUGELY love the technical walkthroughs. keep doing them. they are great references and fun to watch

Yup, just what I needed on a Thursday night! I do enjoy the garage videos.
Instead of a bucket of soapy water , try a big enough tote.
Rebuilt my 1st motor with no book at the prime age of 12yrs old.
I could work on this stuff every day.
I enjoy your videos.

Awesome video and great to see you
Guys grow since I’ve been here! Keep the tech videos coming !
I do enjoy these tech vids.,great education and perhaps inspire me to do more internal work myself. Anxiously waiting the test and tune portion now. 🍻 dudes!
Really enjoy these type of videos, especially when nothing's catastrophically broken inside. Music choice has been different but well done there too.
Well I am about the same age as Doug's Dad and have seen a lot of engine builds, done a few too.
And I still like to see them. Keep it up.
Like seeing the in depth builds. Keep them coming!
Love this kind of stuff. I can watch people build a motor all day long (and I usually do).
Definitely enjoy the shop videos! keep them coming.

You might consider a liquid test on the valves next time... I bet many don't know how to check for leaking that way. Great work guys.
Choice as bro! Finish off the week with some good content from you guys..... damn it was hard resisting to watch during work time haha. Oi Dougie are you tricking us with re using the bearings? 🤔
Nah, sometimes when things are happy we just leave them be
Dig hanging out in the shop having a laugh. Keep it up 👌
Blue Dawn Dish Soap for the win!!! Love that stuff. 👍
Well done boys
Enjoyed the show as usual, you can make lamps out the spare parts as well as some nice trophies
An amazing video.. some great insights.. would love to see more of this.
its all cool 😎 to watch guys thanks for all the builds rides etc
Excellent video guys, I never miss your videos even though I don't understand English, just a few words. Greetings from Chihuahua Mexico.
Gracias amigo
Doug was testing us all. Hell do those bearings too.
Lol so you want them replace a part and there nothing wrong with it.
Classic piston mating video with a little bit of lube and pizzas. Amen
Also appreciate the in-depth look on certain jobs and why you should pay the fee for a good mechanic run 1 instead of it costing you more in the long run 🤘
Can't wait to see it rip!!!

Keep the technical videos coming !! Very interesting. Thanks
These build videos are great I like them alot better then the just cruising around messing around videos
Ready for the ripping!!!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
“You can tell it’s good, cuz it doesn’t wiggle when you shake the motor now”...omg, love those quick-witted comments!
Can't wait till the big race!!!🏁🏁🏁 want to see what 7gs💸💰💰 did to the yxz!!

Great video love the tech stuff f☆☆☆ all the nay sayers good work master engine builder Doug.
Great job guys!
Awesome build that thing is going to rip 🔥👍
great video guys cant wait to see beast mode rip!
I enjoy watching someone else rebuilding an engine as opposed to me doing it.
Makes me wanna tear one down right now lol
These videos are great! Keep it up!
hell yeah we enjoy it dude awsome video
Love the tech vids keep them coming
Great job guys! Thanks
Awesome video gentlemen! If Leonardo filmed paint drying. And narrated it! In that special Leonardo kinda way! I'd watch!
respek fam thank you. I used to do that for a living so maybe there could be some actual interesting things happening there lol
Seems kind of crazy to tear that motor down that far and reuse the rod bearings....
PS: turbo the rs1
Rescue
Safety
Turbah
Polaris bearings are a slightly crushed when torqued down and should never be reused. Maybe can-am is different?
Seems crazy to me also, but Doug knows more than I could ever hope to know, so I'm sure it's fine.
I felt the same, but Doug wouldn't do it if he thought it would be an issue. I trust the guy knows what hes doing and has done his research
Grady Brown ,🖕🏿
Ok Guys Thanks a Million for the details on the scratch! Wow it almost looked like a crack. Are you certain the bores have sleeves? Should be able to view them from the bottom! ??? Great Work. Support is on the way!
Yep they have sleeves, but they are cast in so it isn't obvious
Doug sure knows his shit man
I like the engine rebuilding and repairs
Big difference between "assembling" and "building"...
Building = check ALL Clearances. Good news is metals and tolerances on today's engines are very consistent compared to the old days...
For those that don't know, it also makes a difference what lube is used on the rod bolts bolts when they're torqued...
Too much compression lol no spark plugs yet. I can see why you operate the camera lol. Great video!
sarcastic voice failure I guess lol
You guys are awesome!
did you save the oil it should be ok also
lol
LMFAO
@@SXSBlog youtube wouldnt be the same without you guys , keep doin what your doin and ill keep watching .
Yall need to sign the pistons and raffle them off!!!
I think the two motor builds are reflections of their owners. Doug would never re-use rod bearings and tty bolts on his yxz. Leonardo’s engine motto is “eh, it’ll be fine.”
Hahaha, the yxz engine had been pumping metal, the x3 stuff was mint
Let me know if you guys want anything engraved for Racetober. We can do awards/trophies as well as tumblers!
Wow the money u guys save on fixing your own repairs ...is Awesomeness
Pays too have knowledgeable friends
Ostas famous words it's Super Cool 💯👍 10/10 110 😎🤩💪
13:33 If you guys have seen an engine assembly before, you've seen this tool (pans to sous) lol jk
Like it cant wait to see it rip
Good stuff,guys!
Hey let’s paint the valve cover! Oh never mind Leonardo will just dump it in the grass.
:(
I would like to see a video on the clutch after that much power and that many miles on the clutch. Like wear on the buttons and how egged out is the governor cup were the buttons sit. Im sure it needs a rebuild.
Can't wait!
That old Doug is pretty sharp cookie, what type of work did he do in his previous life before the rich and famous of RUclips.
camera makes it look like a crack in the block not a scratch lol side note theres that not not empty can from when you welded the light bar
Love these videos
i was thinking of putting a 350 chevy eng. with blower in a mavrick xrs an see if i can smoke the tires in all 4 wheels at the race track what you think doug
DO you need to mill the head before installing a new head gasket from it being blown?
Love engine build videos
Hey Doug so to confirm piston2 must be TDC compression side before you add camshafts?
Been waiting for this
Would be cool to see the flow numbers pre and post head clean up.
Reusing the bearings scares me!
!!!!!!!YES REPLACE THE BEARINGS!!!!!
To late now!
It’s a part that is so cheap!! Why not replace it!
Exactly it’s apart, plastic gauge the shit and get the right bearing. It might be ok but it might not
Great video! Are you doing any clutching mods for the big hp numbers your shooting for? Also I wonder how the belt will handle the power?
Loved the video
love videos like this
what gloves are Doug using? I'm done with harbor freight gloves.they are too fragile.
Heck Yeah, Dudes!!
getting ready to head stud my x3. hopping to change one bolt at a time. what do you guys recommend. any input would be great thanks
Doug is a BA
“The other engine out there” maybe referring to the Yamaha in the XX? 😜😎
Heck yeah dude 👍
i see sous stop in for food i think you should take old piston and make a trophy for who blows up first
