Loving the engine build. Something about putting stuff together and seeing it broken coming apart is really relaxing. Especially when its not my machine haha.
Someday I want to be as cool as you guys! But seriously you guys encapsulate everything good about this sport! From having fun with your buddy’s, to traveling and making memories, to technical expertise. Thank you for doing it guys! 🙌🏻
I DO enjoy seeing the engine builds, would like to see more Polaris based stuff. Mix it up a bit. Big kudos to Doug taking the time to show the ring gap stuff and stressing measuring. Lots of youngsters watching you guys and it is never too early to learn to measure when putting an engine together. Sometimes, not always, but sometimes, the rings are not to spec, the bearings that are supposed to be stock are not, etc. The time to find that out is now, not when things go south after a start up. Some of us old farts have learned those lessons the hard way, LOL. Myself included. Really looking forward to watching your shop come together. I know what it is like to move from a 2 car garage into your dream space, please share your thought process as you lay out the spaces, etc.
Yes, more of this style project, and more of the custom fab work that Doug does. Like 168s cagework and such. Love the videos, keep them coming please!!
I'm only a Subaru guy but the connecting rod caps you don't want to mix up because every rod is cracked differently so it may look ok but might not be completely seated, hopefully everything will be ok, love watching you guys!
I'm speaking for myself as a wrencher, but I like seeing stuff like this a lot. It's cool to see how others assemble engines and stuff, it's oppertunity to learn something I might not know. Yes i'm a guy that just admitted I might not know everything. Lol
always interested in build related costs, gives great info about what projects to take on or to walk away from. Watching the build video also is a great indicator of skill level required. Great stuff, keep it up.
We want to be upfront about everything, don't want to hide costs and make it seem like it's something extremely easy. Then have people attempt it, and be shocked when it's loads more money and work than they thought.
I really enjoyed watching Leo & Doug put this unit together. Y’all have a wealth of sxs knowledge that is fun to watch. I think Doug must’ve spent about 15% of his time going across the garage to the toolbox. It’s a roll-a-way dude... roll that dang thing closer!!!
Love it really interesting to actually see what all goes into a rebuild or a repair I hope you realize just how helpful your being to so many people out there and now they have the ability to say I can or cannot do that. Great job you guys are the best.👍👍👏👏
Love watching the build videos. It’s scary but I always feel more confident in approaching my own projects after every video watching you guys do it. Sometimes I wish some of the assembly process wasn’t yata yata’d or time lapsed and I know I’ve seen you guys do this a bunch of other times on your other machines and past ones but it’s still exciting to watch. Knowing exactly which RTV you use and what chemicals work and don’t work really helps. I watched Doug build his yxz motor 4 times. I could watch an 8 hour video of Doug building an engine and be entertained. Keep up the good work guys.
I cant honestly say that I haven't enjoyed a single video that you guys have done! Keep up the good work. I like the investment totals at the end as well. There is so many people that try to buy these up as projects and don't realize how fast the money gets stuck into them.
Love the how-to videos! I am mechanical capable, however, don't have the specific experience. These videos help build confidence in taking on a job like this. It might be nice if you had a more detailed how-to section separately for those who want to see the whole build step by step. It seemed simple enough, however, if you have never done it there could be some important steps missed. Thanks again!
I'm a simple man, I see sxsblog I click like and give y'all an algorithm comment. Love the content I'd watch anything by you guys honestly. Keep it up!
Sweet! I've been waiting to see the next step on the old bruised banana lol. I like you guys throwing some build/how to videos in the mix. Very interesting and always like to learn something new.
Glad everything went together smoothly for y'all on the engine with really no issues! Super excited to see this machine up and moving under it's own power! Keep up the good videos and work guys!
like this kind of video! I also really enjoy the price break down, as someone who like to buy and sell for a prophet i think its cool to see other peoples projects like this.
Suggestion for a build: Salvaged smart car! They are small and rear engine. You could strip it down to the unibody and throw on whatever off-road parts and end up with a super weird and cool side by side... it’s almost like they were made for this.
Awesome show, I always enjoy seeing your videos. Keep up the great work and I have enjoyed watching your journey. Congratulations for all that you guys have achieved.
Heater noise is no big deal guys, got to stay warm in the winter. I didn't realize the cracked piston rod was done on anything but diesel. Makes sense that it is done on other engines now. It was the first style I heard about it from. Have a good one guys.
Lou's is considered by many to be one of the best pizza in the country. My wife is from chicago and she has it delivered here a few times a year. Have about 4 of them in the freezer right now actually lol.
For y'all to think about I was needing some of the lil black plastic body plugs for fenders and body panels so I went to Walmart.com and found them; a pack of 100 for about $9 US and I also found synthetic Winch rope for $13 US I'm sure they have bunches of other things including DeWalt tools plus other brands
Don’t cut your self short boys I grew up in a shop how many cans of brake clean/cleaners rtv assembly lube all kinds of other costs people don’t realize to factor in keep up the good work
Hey doug, you do realize those big tool boxes have wheels for a reason... unless your walking back and forth to burn off that yummy pizza. Keep the great content coming!
love it but I think you guys need something like the Eastwood B60 Media Blast Cabinet could have cleaned that block up real nice, Keep up the good work!
Love the vids guys! I really like the variety, the tech mixed with the riding and laughs. Can’t beat it! Hell I started watching right from the beginning now and what a laugh hahaha keep up the good work!
Doug's looking fresh today. Must have been quasi ginger haircut day. Keep up the great work fellas. Will be excited to see a vid for your first paying customer job.
Going deep on this build! Do you guys enjoy this content? What do you prefer?
SXSBlog.com heck yea! How’s project 2jz doing? (Also is the 2j a 2jz gte or just a 2jz?)
Love the longer in depth videos
I love the sxs content, but I know in the past there has been a few snowmobile vids wink wink!

I would like to see a Honda talon turbo show.
Same lol.
Yup that be awesome 👍
Loving the engine build. Something about putting stuff together and seeing it broken coming apart is really relaxing. Especially when its not my machine haha.
Best thing is watching other people's stuff get worked on, to stressful when it's your own lol.
Someday I want to be as cool as you guys! But seriously you guys encapsulate everything good about this sport! From having fun with your buddy’s, to traveling and making memories, to technical expertise. Thank you for doing it guys! 🙌🏻
As a heavy duty diesel tech, I'm jealous of how small and light the engine and parts are
Does anyone else like the videos before watching like me? I always know they are going to awesome! 🙌🙌🙌
We like your style 😎
Same here!! Lol
Oh yeah!
Hell yeah;)
I always like the video's before the intro is even over.
Yep lol
Don't forget to add the cost of sealers, cleaning solvents, etc.....great job guys.
You guys are so lucky to have Doug and his mad mechanical skills in your team. Keep up the great work on your videos.
I enjoy the technical parts of blowing apart and rebuilding.
Enjoying the rebuild stuff guys. Very cool watching Dr.Doug bring an engine back from the dead . Very cool
I DO enjoy seeing the engine builds, would like to see more Polaris based stuff. Mix it up a bit.

Doug's labor...Priceless!!!
Yes, more of this style project, and more of the custom fab work that Doug does. Like 168s cagework and such. Love the videos, keep them coming please!!
Lots more of this coming soon!
Love watching the engine builds and studded machines on ice
I'm only a Subaru guy but the connecting rod caps you don't want to mix up because every rod is cracked differently so it may look ok but might not be completely seated, hopefully everything will be ok, love watching you guys!
I really enjoy watching the engine build content. There's something satisfying about watching it go together.
I'm speaking for myself as a wrencher, but I like seeing stuff like this a lot. It's cool to see how others assemble engines and stuff, it's oppertunity to learn something I might not know. Yes i'm a guy that just admitted I might not know everything. Lol
I enjoy the mechanic work and ready for the 2 jz stuff...the fab work is where the money is sxs
..
We're excited to get back to that also, waiting on stuff is killing us lol.
I have thoroughly enjoyed watching the tear down and assembly of the bruised Banana.
Thank you, been a fun little project for us.

I think we were eating pizza too lol
You guys have a good variety. Good work men. Also, I love the high speed engine work with the music.
Thanks Robert!
Can please see the old Chevy being put back together and finished please. That would be a badass project.
I really appreciate this kind of video, it's a lot of work that we don't see
Always enjoyed watching the engine builds.
I personally like the in the in the shop videos the best! 👍🏼
Love it really interesting to actually see what all goes into a rebuild or a repair I hope you realize just how helpful your being to so many people out there and now they have the ability to say I can or cannot do that. Great job you guys are the best.👍👍👏👏
Got a bigger shop now still dealing with furnace noise. Good video very informative
I do like seeing these kinds of segments. Bring us more! As always, thanks for sharing.

Love the deep detail motor rebuild info. Very informative! Awesome montage music too!
good to see the details boys. Keep it comin!
You should do a rack system on the wall to forklift side by sides on for storage. 2 or 3 high make some long pallets to park them on.
I'm a simple man, I see sxsblog I click like and give y'all an algorithm comment. Love the content I'd watch anything by you guys honestly. Keep it up!
Haha we appreciate the support, brother!

Really enjoy the Hands-On videos very educational keep up the good work fellas
Doug deserves the SnapOn torque wrench....I use one, it's the best...You can set the torque then set the degrees....no guessing👍👍
I like this kind of stuff for content. For one thing it helps fill in gaps in my knowledge, and for another it's cool. Please keep it up.
Rocky Mountain is awesome, they have been around forever, and they have always been outstanding 24/7.

I love these types of videos, Nice Job, Doug, and Nick! This is going from the bruised Banana to the attack of the killer banana! Rock on
Heater noise is no big deal guys, got to stay warm in the winter. I didn't realize the cracked piston rod was done on anything but diesel. Makes sense that it is done on other engines now. It was the first style I heard about it from. Have a good one guys.

Great episode Doug and Rick. I'll keep my comments to a minimum as I was chastised at work today for my comments on Facebook and RUclips. 🙊
Lou's is considered by many to be one of the best pizza in the country. My wife is from chicago and she has it delivered here a few times a year. Have about 4 of them in the freezer right now actually lol.
Doug: Puts the Rings in the cylinder to measure.
Leo: I'll touch and move it.
Doug: Degrease case half.
Leo: I'll put my oily fingers on that. Lmao
Hahaha can't make it to easy for him 😎
For y'all to think about I was needing some of the lil black plastic body plugs for fenders and body panels so I went to Walmart.com and found them; a pack of 100 for about $9 US and I also found synthetic Winch rope for $13 US I'm sure they have bunches of other things including DeWalt tools plus other brands
