I've ridden 8 out of 10 of your routes between 2-4 times a year (not Mt Baker, not Fed Way to Tacoma). HWY 129 in OR to WA via Grande Ronde River is awesome, a ton of switch backs, fun dropping down to the river and climbing back out. You should add a #11 as most deadly ride, Woodinville to Renton on any Monday morning between 7am and 8am (522 to I-405). I've made that ride 6 times this year, nobody else on a bike, just a sea of cars, trucks, and semi's going between 2 MPH to 75 mph.
Scenic motorcycle rides is the key. Our interstates are ridiculously deadly, especially this year. I got something coming soon on that. Just letting my emotions settle first so I don’t say anything rash.
I concur with having Chuckanut Drive on the list. There are several curves where you don't realize you've gone too far until you are already there. It's just as deadly for cars as it is for motorcycles. There's also the danger of slides.
I've done the Spirit Lake run a couple of times and have done the Klickitat run numerous times. These trails are fun and safe as long as the rider obeys the speed limits.
Curious if stats were available for type of motorcycles involved in these stats. A lot of people ride too fast on Hwy 20. Arguably the most beautiful and twisty road for all motorcycles as well as easily accessible from major populations including Canadians like myself.
Worked as EMT and 20 had pick many motorcyclists on it. 9 out of 10 were Harleys. There is left over sand on the edges and Harleys good on the flat country but not in all the curves. Was white water rescue and had to pull two bikes out of the Methow river, unfortunately 1 person did not make it. I have 3 honda adventure bikes and they good on curves because of tires and set up. Rode 20 a few times going to Blaine as my sailboat is there.
Hey brother - do you do meet ups and rides? Im local to you - fairly new to riding,. I’d like to find a group to hit the road with and soak up some experience.
Sometimes. I will be filming one for the riders remembered memorial August 22. It starts at the lucky 13 tavern in Marysville. Kick stands up at 10:30.
Yes rather easily depending on where you live. All the ones I have reviewed so far except for #9 can be done in a day. The remaining 4 that I am working on this year, are far enough away that I will need two days to film a proper look at them.
ride maps are located on the individual videos. If you are looking for the route check the video on this channel.
Thanks man! Great video!

If you ride Rattlesnake Pass do it in the Spring when everything is green. It looks just like Ireland!
What a ray of sunshine.

Absolutely
Great, informative video. Appreciate that you used data vs. just personal opinion- though I loved your take on those you have experience on!

I am going to try to get both of them done this year. It is a ways for me, so timing and planning are required.
Klickitat Ride is fantastic!
My absolute favorite!!!

Not that I am aware of.
Mount Vernon to Winthrop Hwy 20. Our Church riders would pick a Saturday, and do it.
A great ride!
Watch out passing multiple cars at once. Car up front might turn left. Friend died on Chuckanut doing that.
Always. Never assume anyone in a cage is going to do anything. Especially in those tourist areas! Sorry to hear that.
I live a few blocks from chuckanut drive right now, while I go to school up in B'ham. Love sneaking off hour-long rides on homework breaks.

We got stuck up on 20 for a good four hours. A rider didn't make the right bend and drifted head on. Seen the bike when we got through. Sad.
Yes, it’s a great ride, but people should take it just a hair easier.

I've ridden Mt baker hwy, chuckanut drive and hwy 20 East so far.
Those are great rides. Hope you get a chance to check out HWY 410. That one is really fun as well.
#7 and #5 can be done in a day.
