We're graduating the least informed kids from college in history. The problem that young lady described with rich and poor schools is exactly the issue School Choice aims to overcome. We're literally paying tuition to universities to make our kids ignorant and easily manipulated.

In Texas with their "Robin Hood" school funding policy that has been in effect for about 30 years, school districts that are designated tax wealthy are required to send a large portion of their property tax revenue to the state to be distributed to designated tax poor districts so the funding to all districts are approximately equal. The argument that the girl makes about poor districts being way underfunded compared to wealthy districts is not true in Texas. The Texas Supreme Court ruled this policy unconstitutional 25 years ago, but in the absence of some other system that equalizes school funding, they've allowed this policy to continue.

An American here. Trust me. I've tried telling these ding bats that the Nordic Region is *not* socialist, nor is most of Europe. What many of these idiots don't realize is that they want to be more like Europe.... until they realize that Europeans are, in several areas at least, technically less free than most Americans. After all, the right to speak your mind is not a guarantee in many European nations, like it is in the US. Several European Nations operate on "Guilty until proven innocent", where the US operates on the opposite. The press has a greater degree of freedom in the US, and can even mock the head of state. Doing that in some European countries can get you locked up. Same goes for religion. Some European nations do ban the free practice of certain religions, while in the US all religion is technically legal so long as it doesn't violate someone else's rights (you can sacrifice a chicken to appease the gods, but not a human for example).
Now, take note: What I said above does not apply to all of Europe. Why? Because the EU is not a single country. It is a collection of smaller states, each operating independently of one another except in certain regards (roads, finance, etc). As a result, you can get countries with wildly different laws from one place to another. Funnily enough, *just like the United States*.

It's interesting to hear foreigners talk about Sweden. I've been to a few schools in different areas and I can't say they are that different. Private schools may be different but not public schools in my experience. And I also don't believe teachers in general differs that much in public schools either. If any school statistically have less graduations, lower average grades etc. I think that has nothing to do with the funding or teachers I think it's more about the people going in the schools NOT wanting to go in school. And you can't force anyone to go in school or learn. I believe everyone has the same chance at succeeding in Sweden.

      .. . '.
The politicians today get elected because the voters are ignorant about the following basic truths:
      1) The market is a battlefield. Profit is King. There is no such thing as a battle that never ends and a battle that never has a clear dominant force to take over all others.
      2) The markets concentrate Wealth. Therefore it is essential to have a mechanism for re-distribution of wealth.
      3) Looking at Capitalism, all employees can be aggregated into one Employee and all owners can be aggregated into one Owner.
The aggregated Employee invents and makes the products then sells the products to itself and then pays a fee called Profit to an 'Owner' for the permission to own the same products the aggregated Employee itself made and sold to itself. The Owner is a parasite.
Ownership is a claim, not effort. The Owner makes the claim, then the Employee enters to protect and grow what has been claimed as owned by the Owner. All efforts are done by the aggregated Employee, the aggregated Owner just owns, nothing else, no effort whatsoever.
      4) Therefore, either the free market will make you poor or the Owner will.....unless the owned Wealth is being perpetually redistributed as I describe here.
      5) A poor person is forced to think about how to make "bread" using a patch of land and some tools, a Wealthy person is free to think about which farm and bread factory to purchase.
(But the 'really poor' have no other choice except to think about rebellion or theft or how to lend themselves to others in exchange for "bread".)
Perpetual re-distribution of sufficient Wealth will eliminate the 'really poor' by giving them a choice to say 'NO' to unfair demands on their time and efforts. It would also elevate the poor to think about 'prosperity' instead of 'survival'.
      6) Also, we must have laws to enforce strict border control for wealth leaving an economic area (town, city, state, country) and people entering an economic area.
THE ONLY SOLUTION: Tax ownership of wealth Exponentially and then distribute it evenly among all citizens , again and again, in perpetuity. (The government should not be excluded from taxation of owned or controlled Wealth thus making it irrelevant what is private and what is public. )
      !!!
      !!
      !
      .
Jordan Peterson would say to you that "hierarchies dispossess" and then your mind will be trapped, trying to find a reasonable solution, because you listen to Peterson, Wolff, Marx, Lenin and the likes.
I am saying, If "Hierarchies Dispossess" then 'Redistribute' to make them less prominent. The solution is Obvious ... but not for Marx, Bakunin, Wolff, Peterson, Lenin and their ideological supporters.
This is a new paradigm, people. Get on board or stay ignorant and trapped in looser ideologies.

Obviously the young lady hasn’t looked at how much per student is given to public vs private schooling and lower income vs affluent districts. In Memphis TN in order for suburbs to be separate from the city school system they pay the city. So our city schools get $2 more per student than the burbs on top of special funding they receive whereas suburban schools must fund raise for extra cash. Memphis was designated a year 2000 school. Funds were appropriated to draw in better teachers, update curriculum and enhance learning. A few years earlier, a wheel tax was levied to update school conditions. Funds disappeared. No one was held accountable. Schools are in the same bad condition they were 25 years ago. The ones that are working give parents options and vouchers to students willing to put forth an effort. All these woke ignorants think throwing more money is answer… it’s like putting a bandaid on a severed artery. Studies show that it isn’t the amount of money you throw at a school but the quality of the education. Hold teachers, school board and administration accountable. Crest incentives for parents to be involved. Don’t punish the students or the parents. What went wrong in Memphis? Plan and simple: corruption.

. My mum is Venezuelan and moved to Britain, it gets me so mad wen I see people taking abt socialism like my mum has friends who had no water and lectricty for two months and had to pay for it to help them, people literally queue for miles too get food, my friends always get at me for this point of view.
Back to the point (just telling u a little bit soz for the rant 😂) Sometimes those top schools aren’t always good for students. My Venezuelan side is very posh and my mum went to like the Venezuelan Eaton or duwlich college . She was failing miserably and then went to a normal state school and all of a sudden started getting good grades. Sometimes the curriculum and the school can be too hard and have too much pressure that it’s not always good for students. And tbh shit schools are only shit cos of the students. If you take a kid who’s always getting in trouble, getting shit grades and take them to a top school I guarantee u nothing will change. A kid needs to want to learn a school can only do so much if the student generally don’t care. And if that kid is just dumb, well a top school is just gonna make him dumber. Sorry for the rant

I feel people keep forgetting or don't understand USA roll In the world. That alot of countries depend on our Military Power for defense. All those countries that have Medicare for all do not have the military power we have. The kind of spending we have to put into our military to pretty much police the world prevents us from being able to have those social programs. Charlie Kirk explained it well. Countries like Sweden do not have a military and the population is very small compared to ours. We have our military for a reason. But I bet these socialist/ Communist would gladly trade over our military power and responsibilities to China just so they too can have all those social program's other countries have. Which in trade we bow our knee to China. An let a Dictatorship Communist regime to be the police of the world? Ummm I think not!. Just bill me Hospitals I'll pay what i can.

There is SO much that can be said for that last line. If you look at education from 60 years ago, and compare it to education now...we have spent SOOOOO much money and we have all become demonstrably dumber over time. There is no arguing that, from a common sense, every day life, reading/writing/math stand point, our parent's are WAY smarter than us. Our grandparent's, are WAY smarter than our parent's and us. Look at Phys Ed alone. Go watch a youtube channel that shows footage of a P.E. class from 1957. Those kids were doing stuff that fewer than 1% of kids today can do.

I was the boy from the hood who managed to get to uni and when i got there every middle class white person pretty much felt this way and the other hood guys thought the way i did and thats work hard, make money snd create a life for myself and be the best in every interview or at work. This has been lost on these soft students who parents have molly cuddled them over the years and now middle class white people who lives really good lives now get to tell.other white people how racist and bigoted they are lol the world is a funny place .. being poor or oppressed is a mindset dont believe me ask every successful person in history black or white whats the secret to success
