I'm an arianator and I loved Ariana on the song and Lady Gaga made the song so much more powerful, it was a perfect duo, their voices were so good together... my favorite part was when Ariana was singing with a softer tone and Lady Gaga comes with a stronger one. Just providing you with a bit of back story Ajay, This song was co-written by both Gaga AND Ari so is a true collaboration. The lines “I’d rather be dry but at least I’m alive, rain on me” relate to how both artists would rather be happy and free of tears, but that’s not possible, so they have come to terms with being alive and accepting that sadness/pain is still a feeling. BOTH Ari and Gaga have gone through a LOT of trauma in their lives. Lady Gaga said that she was very depressed while writing the album but found herself writing happy upbeat songs from her heart, which explains the deep undertones to this poppy song.

I will admit the 1st time I listened to the song I was a bit disappointed but it didn't take long to grow on me . It's a great song, not the best song, its a bit overhyped like if an unpopular artist came out with this I don't think it would do as well. both ari and gaga sound amazing though and the music video is everything.
Uhm no I was OBSESSED with the first listen through. Absolutely adore it. The build is fantastic, it’s upbeat, dancey, great lyrics. Ari and Gaga both sound so good. Not AT ALL overhyped- it’s got this amazing 90s/2000 dance vibe to it that so many of us have wanted from Gaga for years. My favorite Gaga song since come to mama, and my favorite single she’s put out since Born this Way

It really is your opinion and we can’t all possibly be on the same page. However, I have to say the song would not be the same if both of them sounded the same, it would be dull. What makes this song a PERFECT DUET is the balance between Gaga and Ariana’s voice. If it was only Gaga singing then I’m sure she probably would have used a different voice. This is an exceptionally well produced song, especially when it comes to the vocals. This sort of Hi-NRG house track was what we danced to in clubs in the 90s and the themes of empowerment make it even more of a fitting homage to that period. The call and response technique between Ariana and Gaga is really effective. The softness of Ariana and the soaring power of Gaga. This isn't just a fun pop song. It is a study in the history of house music that mostly featured strong women vocalists. The track really is A+.

The lines “I’d rather be dry but at least I’m alive, rain on me” relate to how both artists would rather be happy and free of tears, but that’s not possible, so they have come to terms with being alive and accepting that sadness/pain is still a feeling. BOTH Ari and Gaga have gone through a LOT of trauma in their lives. Lady Gaga said that she was very depressed while writing the album but found herself writing happy upbeat songs from her heart, which explains the deep undertones to this poppy song.

This is an exceptionally well produced song, especially when it comes to the vocals. This sort of Hi-NRG house track was what we danced to in clubs in the 90s and the themes of empowerment make it even more of a fitting homage to that period. The call and response technique between Ariana and Gaga is really effective. The softness of Ariana and the soaring power of Gaga. This isn't just a fun pop song. It is a study in the history of house music that mostly featured strong women vocalists. The track really is A+.

I'm an arianator tbh, but oof... They just worked so well together? Ariana and Gaga killed it and Ajay didn't appreciate Gaga enough in my opinion, but I'm not here to drag her for her opinion. I just think the duality in the vocals is what makes the song shine.

I love this song because it reminds me of old Gaga and 2015 vibes but the transitions are a bit awkward for me. So it’ll be a grower in my opinion but the talent Gaga has is amazing! And I’m an arinator too so I love both worlds combining.

@@sypa9534 As the music video shows, there are 2 sides of let's say Chromatica. Lady Gaga served the punk side of the song and Ariana served the kindness part of the song. The song is not supposed to be smooth and sexy, it should but it is not the whole point, it should give you hard times like teardrops(Gaga's part), then smooth them to survive(like Ariana's part). Then the song unites, like the lyrics says "I'd rather be dry but at least I'm alive."

Honestly, I feel like this isn't a song to just listen to. This is definitely an active song where you get up and dance rather than just analyze how they sound. Just my opinion and I understand she reacts to transitions, vocal notes etc. within an album but I feel it's hard to do it with some songs, and this may be one of them
