I think what stands out for me is that unlike other artists where they release an album because it’s been a year or two from the last one so you need to release something, Ariana released eternal sunshine because she wanted to say something. She didn’t need to release any music because she has a lot of other stuff in her life already but she wanted to release it so it feels so genuine and real. I think that’s made her into a different type of artist where she doesn’t need to prove something, she already knows what to do and how it works and that’s why she can release unique and new stuff. At first the relationship was going really well and it ended up in marriage. By the end of their relationship being together (after having miscommunications/problems), a "situationship" was all that was left. Like they only keep each other around for certain things and the love they used to have from the beginning isn't there anymore; he changed, and she decides she has to make the decision to leave.

It's that conversation you have with yourself after having broken up with the person you loved: "Can I still be friends with this person?" And you try to convince yourself that you both still "can be friends". But the truth is... you can't. What I also like about the song is that in the bridge you can hear the realization that you all you need is yourself. Love it.

I think what stands out for me is that unlike other artists where they release an album because it’s been a year or two from the last one so you need to release something, Ariana released eternal sunshine because she wanted to say something. She didn’t need to release any music because she has a lot of other stuff in her life already but she wanted to release it so it feels so genuine and real. I think that’s made her into a different type of artist where she doesn’t need to prove something, she already knows what to do and how it works and that’s why she can release unique and new stuff. She’s almost in the level of Beyoncé in that way where she has become legendary so she knows that she can experiment and she has already figured out what works best for her and she delivered a cohesive album that moves you

At first the relationship was going really well and it ended up in marriage. By the end of their relationship being together (after having miscommunications/problems), a "situationship" was all that was left. Like they only keep each other around for certain things and the love they used to have from the beginning isn't there anymore; he changed, and she decides she has to make the decision to leave.

So Bye was like "at least we tried, didn't we?" and Don't Wanna Break Up Again was like "but u didn't even try! I did all the work!". You can have conflicting feelings about something that are total opposite from each other but in the end, they're still valid and real emotions.

My favourite songs are Supernatural (the catchiest one I love it), Eternal Sunshine, We can’t be friends and Imperfect for you. But every single song is very good

This album feels like creation or a birth of new life to me. Some of the songs actually made me feel as if I was ascending higher into another realm. An absolutely beautiful body of work that I would argue is one of her best albums definitely the most cohesive.
