  • I am showing step by step process of making simple piggy bank in water based clay. This is simple project that you can do at home for fun.
I start with making ball. I am showing two technicians . First involves hollowing the form .
Second is draping clay over plaster mould.
In this video I create three different animal designs. You can watch how the project progress and make your own while watching.
It is simple and is fun.
If you don’t want a piggy bank you can always change it into flower pot or just decorative piece for display on the shelf.
I just love clay and want to shear it with others.
Clay is very versatile and easy work with.
I love the feeling of wet clay under my fingers. It gives me the sense of connection with the earth.
When you work with clay you have to learn some simple techniques.
You also need to familiarize your with this medium. Clay when is exposed to air, it dries. You need to spray some water on it if it is to dry. Cover your work with the plastic between your working sessions.
I hope you will love clay and working with it as much as I do.

Hey, awsome tutorial! I have two questions if you have the time to answer. I use monster clay, I think its wax or oil based, how do you get rid of the fingerprints and what not, then smooth and polished it down?
Could you do a tutorial on teeth please? I'm having quite a lot of trouble with them.
    Thank you so much.

I used monster clay once. You smooth it with isopropyl alcohol or by heat gun .
There are many tutorials on line.

It is the old fashion style. When the bank is full, you just break it with the hammer.

When I was a child (very long ago!) no money boxes could be opened and you had to spend a long time getting the pennies out with a knife holding the box upside down. I couldn’t smash this lovely piggy!
