HAND MADE PIGGY-FROG BANK *The smallest, but hardest DIY of my life

I thank a friend of mine that challenged me to create a Piggy bank in the shape of a frog.
At the beginning I thought that I could use handmade salt dough, but it didn't work. I leave you in any case the recipe, because it is perfect if you want to realize items that are much more 2D.
Salt dough:
two mugs of flour
one mug of salt
one mug of warm water
I then found out that I had to realize a mold before, and I made it with pieces of newspaper soaked in glue and water stick to a balloon.
When the mold was dry, I covered it with 2 layers of air hardening clay, and I made the details like the eyes, 2 chuncky back legs, 2 arms and the mouth. I reached the webbed effect by cutting the clay in triangular shapes with the scissors.
I coloured everything with a mix of green of tempera colours, and I made the eyes' details with a marker. I then sprayed everything with a varnish (pay attention because my marker melts with the varnish, so i taped the eyes before spraying).
I am obsessed by the result.
