I went to this on opening week. Some kid who thought he knew better decided to ignore the safety warning from the staff member, not to put bags against the wall on the last part of the ride because the floor and the wall both moved separately........ ... and his bag, which was filled with food and a personal cassette player and tapes, and a personal CD player with CDs and stuff... got sucked into the ride's mechanism and got ground up in the ride's mechanics. The contents of said bag then got spewed all over everyone on the ride like some kind of techno-vomit and they had to shut the ride early. We were all covered in bits of plastic and cassette innards, and bits of sandwich and fruit because some moronic 12 year old snarked at the staff member's safety warning. Best. Day. Ever.
@@qk1050 The preshow with the monitors now have replace the old footage and monitors with much newer Screens and video, and the corridor jumpscare has been altered with strobes and new sfx. The animatronic in the Library has been replaced with a screen sadly, but now some good music from Midnight syndicate plays in there. After you enter the madhouse, instead of a slowly rising Choir, you get more music from Midnight syndicate, along with new purple strobe lights, and a head popping out of the coffin at the end. Finally, before you exit the ride, an interactive button station has been put by the Exit, with 2 buttons, allowing you to chose if you encountered any Supernatural acts within the ride. This scared the crap out of me when I was a kid! I remember seeing the mannequin bodies of them on the ceiling of the house too! Shame it's changed now.
This is different to what I did because in the Haunting that I did they did a good job of giving a rethink and you go inside and you think that this might be what it used to be but what we got was someone who is called Dr Ghostman who is leading this paranormal team through this house and it looked like someone had gone into the manager's office at Drayton Manor and did a voiceover for the whole ride
Can we get an original 90s Haunting experience for Halloween or something? The new interation isn't bad at all. Quite enjoyed it actually. But I'd love to relive the first time I went through the attraction with the Pseudo Ghostbusters motif. Either way: great Venkoma Madhouse! Makes my head spin everytime.
@@danmccloskey6207 in the Lorry, Doctor X has returned, the original audio has returned as well in all the scenes, along with some of the Original Vicar Audio in the library!! The Chapel scene also has the original audio back as well! I think only the video and audio has been reverted back to the original, but it's so much better than what it used to be!

Drayton manor, what have you do? This isn't even used any more on this ride, you replaced the "90's" high quality knock-off ghostbusters (which we all loved) with "man in shed", What the hell!? did you lost the rights to the footage or something?
What this man said right here. I went yesterday the pseudo Ghostbusters were gone, never been more heartbroken, the ride is just a pale imitation of itself now. So sad :(

Went on this Friday just gone and quite enjoyed the new version. Loved how it still used some of the old effects, along with the new additions
