The translations are terrible though. He's literally saying that "I cant say I purely enjoy baseball" but the translation says he does. Theres many other parts that are totally wrong....
what an incredible player. As a kid in elementary school I always imitated him putting his bat up before swinging. I hope he gets to continue on for as long as he can.
Speaking of his preparation...Me and my 3 sons saw him when he was with the Yankees. We were sitting along the 1st base line. Ichiro came in to RF around mid game. During a TV time out he began stretching etc.. Once he stopped a Yankee helper/kid emerged from the CF fence (Old/better Yankee Stadium BTW) to have some warm up throws with him. He threw at least 20 laser beam/right to the kids' chest throws from at least 50 yards away! The kid didn't even have to move. It was one of the most unbelievable things I've ever seen honestly. My kids were like "Woaaa.....!"
It’s the reason why Ichiro has a career .311 BA. With his highest at .374 BA in one season and has the record for most hits in a season at 262. Also he’s a tremendous defensive outfielder. Playing professionally nearly 25 years is remarkable. Even pitchers very rarely play up to 20 years. If you include his Japanese career, Ichiro has 4367 career hits. More than Pete Rose.
What I respect about him is not only his great records but also his mind and humanity. I dont think I can be as tough as him but I try to be better than what I was yesterday.
mkf541 no matter how great the play, I feel like the this is an audition for his next stop in Japan’s baseball league. I want him to stay with the mariners but it just feels like they are going to hold him at a higher standard because of his age.
Translating his words into foreign languages must be so hard, as he always chooses words very carefully and never makes commonplace remarks when expressing his philosophy. This is why he doesn’t make comments in English at press conference even he speaks English quite well.
The translations are terrible. They are outright wrong. Don't read them. Like he's literally saying that "I cant say I purely enjoy baseball" but the translation says he does.
Ichiro is incredibly inspirational...hes like the smallest player in the field but for the first 10 years in the mlb was almost the top or 2nd best player in the field. An all start every year for the first 10 years hitting over 200 hits each year. In 9 of those ten years he was ranked in the top 20 MVP voting...let that sink in.
What a cool video. Wish we could see Ichiro play forever. There was an article about him called the Last Winter or something like that and it damn near made me cry.
I just want to leave a comment here. Thank you for posting this video. I am going through some rough times in work. This video reminds me the importance of understanding your limits
Something tells me that Ichiro is a lot like MJ in that he feels that even with all his success he can get better. Jordan was that way, he said that there were a lot of things about basketball that he could get better at. That mindset is what drives the GOATS
I wish Ichiro lived in my head and guided me through life!

From. SouthKorea

Not only a great baseball player, but is also a respectable human being. He'd be a living legend no matter what career path he chose.
Definitely.
thank you, Ichiro. you gave me a lot of beautiful memories.
This video makes me want to be a better person.
Right.
i agree about that
Me, too. I won't, but it makes me WANT to be a better person.
The translations are terrible though. He's literally saying that "I cant say I purely enjoy baseball" but the translation says he does. Theres many other parts that are totally wrong....

@MANCHESTER UNITED F.C By that logic, McDonald is the best restaurant in the whole world.
@George Man, thumbs up to you, well said.
He's so cool. My role model

not just a baseball player, he is a legend, a hero and a model for me

Just robbed a HR in left field today at 44 years young. A true baseball legend.
Seriously... wasn't that awesome?!?!?
mkf541 no matter how great the play, I feel like the this is an audition for his next stop in Japan’s baseball league. I want him to stay with the mariners but it just feels like they are going to hold him at a higher standard because of his age.
This continuous preparation is the reason why he can still play baseball without a big injury

I strongly agree. What he speaks in Japanese is difficult even for a Japanese person.
The translations are terrible. They are outright wrong. Don't read them. Like he's literally saying that "I cant say I purely enjoy baseball" but the translation says he does.
@@hotakaPAD I love to hear exactly what he is saying. Would you or anyone else like to translate what he said in the video?
@@hotakaPAD seconded, I'd like to hear what he was actually saying too.
Probably my favorite player of all time!
Such a class act. Not many people better than him
with the announcement, this video is now so significant
The greatest baseball player on and off the field. I respect this guy so much.

Ichiro is a gift to baseball.

Having suffered from racial discrimination, Ichiro and all the positive comments on him cheers me up
Ichiro, the baseball hero.
One of the G.O.A.T in MLB History. Salute
one of the best hitters in the game we will ever see
I'm not successful, but what I do every day is helping other people be successful...
He gives people a great inspiration.
He is my hero
#Ichiro Suzuki, the best ROLE MODEL of athletes!
Greatest all the time and forever.
All time hit king for me, one of the best ever
Loved this
He said exactly the same at the retirement meeting. He penetrated his conviction until the last moment. I think that is his most respected thing.
This is the coolest video I’ve ever experienced on RUclips!
At first I was like wtf whoever put those captions is going to get fired lol can't read half of them , then realized it was a 360 video 🤣🤣
Same here, and I didnt realize this is a 360 video before I read you reply lol
its ok. the translation is super inaccurate
@@hotakaPAD Wait, really? I would like to know what he is saying.

its not only about talents, but all efforts.
This was really powerful, even without VR I felt like I was right there with him
Woo-hoo! Goooo Ichiro! 44 years old never looked better. Good luck this year buddy!
Respect from Korea
Respect
Rie Fuji
BRI
Awesome.
This is the coolest video concept I've ever seen
Not only Ichiro but Allen Turner is also awesome.
01:10 He can play as a batting-practice pitcher, not only the exclusive interpreter of Ichiro.
Ichiro is a first ballot Hall of famer. Right? This guy is easily one of the greatest, if not the, greatest hitter in BASEBALL history.
He shows me what I really have to do right now don’t watch RUclips and study! It’s not too late to be like Ichiro!
Ichiro is the new goat if not spiritually for baseball.
Go Ichiro
i miss him forever
Great respect from Japan
i never knew i needed a vr pep talk from ichiro but apparently i did
"When you get to the plate you can't be thinking" - Ichiro
Amazing
This takes on a whole new meaning after reading that BR article about his relationship with his father.
The 360 was amazing 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👌🏾👍🏾
RESPECT from Korea.
Thank you, Korean bro!
From Japan
Proud of Japan, Proud of baseball
United state's sports LEGEND.Kobe Bryant,Peyton Manning and ICHIRO.
Hall of Fame for sure
top 10 anime bosses
Ichiro is like Kojima from One Outs
all i can say is wow, just WOW
It's better to give your best effort than to live with regret.
Ichiro is OP. He’s like a legit baseball ninja
This man deserved a world series, damn you Mariners ;-;
One of the best all time!
This man is a god.
Ichiro is such a badass
I like that he talks like a protagonist in an anime
This is why at 44/45 he is still better than a lot of 20 yr olds !!!!
Sitting on a toilet trying to watch this
Just make sure you give it your 100%
You can use your finger to move it
Never related to a comment more in my life
Lol me too
I didnt realize you could move the video around until about half way lol. Inspiring video.
He plays like a ninja, thinks like a samurai, and speaks like a zen monk.
Legend
ICHIRO FOREVER !!
Things Ichiro saying in video sounds easy.
How many people can make effort not to get regret.
Almost people get regret in almost life.
Ichiro has been at the top of the game since I've been playing T-Ball. HOFer for sure, no doubt.
Thank you Ichiro!!
Inspiring!
I hope that he will be able to win a World Series one day
makes you realize some of us arent totally worthless out there, so theres that
we will miss you, ichiro
Future hall of famer, ladies and gentlemen
Good content, but did this really have to be a 360 video? Losing quality for a gimmick that doesn't really add much to this.
Seth Falstein I was wondering what the help was going on lmao yea it’s just weird
The Best
I'm going to miss Ichiro :(
"Ichi" means "one" in japanese.
His dad wanted him to be No 1.
Ichiro is always my No 1 hero.
The best ever
