Football has evolved, but Mourinho hasn't. That's the problem. His strategy is obsolete and his behavior is old-fashioned. Look at Guardiola, Klopp, Pochetino, Simeone, Southgate, etc. - they have very friendly, open and protective attitude towards their players, yet nobody questions their authority as managers. Mourinho is like a grumpy old teacher who demands blind respect and obedience based on what he achieved in the past.

Whether its big games or small games you must step up to the plate, live by Jose's philosophy and read football the way Jose does. You can have ego and act the fool but it mustn't overcloud your love and will for the game. Zlatan, Drogba, CR7, Ozil all stepped up and had leadership qualities under Jose, They understand his philosophy and will bleed for Jose and Jose could rely on them anytime, but as soon as the big/marquee players (Hazard, Pogba) starts rebelling against Jose the the whole system fails.

He can’t work with these modern footballers with rap careers and clothing lines because they all have an ego and a voice on social media that will be respected if they speak out. Mourinho is like Ferguson, he needs the total respect of the dressing room to operate and work his magic. He’d be great at a smaller(ish) club like Everton or Valencia. Big clubs have to be left to the mangers that still have the upmost respect of the players like guardiola, or those that cultivate a more friendly relationship like klopp. Sadly the media’s never ending assault of mourinho has eroded any respect that he used to have with these ‘Instagram players’. Fair play to him for handling himself so well here.
I think that this is what can make a great manager and where Ferguson and Guardiola are similar. If you cross them in anyway they are in your face and they take no prisoner's. They live and breath football and truly believe in there own philosophies. They will win every battle and you will know you have been judged.

He has done so much for me and Chelsea fans. Growing up in Ghana was hard and I remember him bringing in Essien and drogba . But for me especially Essien. I felt like I was part of a huge worldwide family of Chelsea love and I have football, Chelsea,and Jose to thank because of Jose, I was able to put my energy in loving Chelsea and football instead of the constant struggle back home in Ghana. The more people hated him the more I loved his character. He will always be remembered. He is still the special one.

Who will faithfully follow the way of thinking and working. Mourinho's match to the club whose owner or director really likes him and the club has the ambition to be a champion. Examples of Spurs, Liverpool, Monaco, Virrareal etc.
