@Mateus Leao I think your problem is that you believe to know how they really work. Create your own company; come back and tell me from entrepreneur to entrepreneur how you do it than. Anything else is simply ignorance and trying to find flaws in anything and anyone but yourself.
I've loved how these logs have evolved over time. In the past I've felt that your "sales pitch" side kind of overshadowed your sense of humor. That was not the case in this video at all though. You seem very charged, but also really made me laugh a couple times too. Excited to continue following the progress.
You're quite a ballsy mate. Posting all your good ideas on here, like, just askin for competition. If only I was good at UI and had no morals, I would just try and make cheap bucks off your ideas.
And someday when it fails, he'll never acknowledge that part. Likely blame some other factors. Every part of this is just a bad idea and I think he knows that, but is choosing to hide behind smugness and "humor".
Some thoughts: It feels like fan selection is focusing too much on dedication, rather than whether that person is a healthy part of the community. I'm sure most influencers would prefer a quiet helpful fan than a toxic one. Additionally I could see how some of the selection processes described could be abused if opened to a wider market. How many examples over the last few years have we heard of influencers sexually harassing fans in their community? And making a direct line of communication that can only be accessed by sending in photos of yourself seems like it could very easily lead to that scenario. Would there be rules to stop creators asking location, age, race, gender questions? and would there be something to enforce this?
Also as a person who hosts a smaller community on discord, who would be looking to move away from the app because of its complexity, it feels like discoverability on astralfans is difficult. Say I’m just starting my community and don’t have a huge pool of fans to pull from, maybe I want this to be more open and easier to get into, atleast while starting out, and then start creating gates to entry once a community is actually formed
All the best bro, setting everything up feels nice, having all the processes, automated workflows, etc. Actually coding it is the bottleneck everytime. Hope you don’t hit issues which are related to capabilities of react native.
He probably has enough experience with react native to know it’s weaknesses. Besides, if this actually gets funding then he could hire dedicated android and iOS devs.
You will have an amazing level of success. I am looking forward to joining your platform......and then you made it really really hard...about as hard as getting a post malone tattoo because "im a fan".
2 concerns: 1) will alternate logins be available for content creators? Sim swapping attack is most effective against celebs and the like so they'd be the biggest target. 2) I know the point is to create a bigger barrier to entry but by doing so your creating more complexity - which is something you're trying to avoid from Discord.
For real though. This is actually a great idea. The fact that to get in the super fans group can be styled off the creator adds another level of fun for that community. Like a Mr. beast style way to get in. Keep up the good work Mr. Awad!

4:13 - This section had me my thoughts drifting into other use cases for AF. How would you see a "IRL/Traditional" community interact on the platform? Maybe they aren't technically "Content Creators" but they have social media groups, regular meetups, a physical location. Like a Alumni group, or a Pub/Brewery.
Dogehouse was a fantastic idea. This one is not a unicorn, it's a poop sandwich and I shan't be biting. If anyone ever does take part in these communities, they will be even worse than the most supersimps of patreon or only fans. @@dom8429 You're missing the entire value proposition. The point is for people to engage more and promote the content creator more in an effort to get in.
You have to make the quiz section show different questions for each user, because when I used to play HQ trivia there would be discord servers dedicated to telling everyone the answer.
I have another alternative to the quiz. The content creator could send an invite to someone, and that someone could send a link to someone else, and so on. This would be kinda like Clubhouse, in the sense that invites are sent by people who are already in, and the invites are limited.
Your second statement around security is where you are finally getting it… it’s not what walls you build to protect yourself that matters, it’s understanding what secret stuff is being protected and quantifying your security model to suite, my advice is you are collecting a users phone number already, so this dictates that for 2-factor you can only use an “app experience” (or email which is always an option I suppose), but my advice is launch with 2FA and rather generate short lived access tokens and long term refresh tokens, a standard OAuth PKCE flow as an example. However if I was in your shoes I would target a sector first, say RUclips. And then build on top of RUclips’s existing authentication by federation to them, I know you a JS fan and something like hello.js will get you going on this track quickest. You additional advantage then is you don’t have to build any of this auth, you “leverage” social auth to source the least amount you need for a user to login (likely a user identifier so he can exist on your system) and then using injected “personalisation” aspects that you just never store cause you done need them - like a persons name, only matters really on display to that individual, rather share out a pseudonym to everyone else that is not really personally identifiable, but sustains value to your consumer base as even those “hold value” in that you literally could sell (as your platform grows) the names on your platform that an existing influencer already has on another). Good luck as always, your tenacity is impressive to see as always (and funny to watch)
